For the next round, myself and Tboy have decided between family portrait and f**kin perfect. Help us decide which one to send by voting in the poll :cheer:

I went with 'Perfect'. I think nostalgia could benefit this one, I can remember the video being a big talking point growing up. It's also a more immediate, anthemic song too.

 

Listening to it now for the first time in forever and what a song! *.* I just wish the explicit version had that big "you're perfeeeeeect, to me!" at the end like the clean version has.

I think the relative recency of Perfect will give it a leg up, like you said, with some of the younger members, so I gave it my vote. Personally I don't really mind, I love both songs similarly!

Yeah that's true about 'Family Portrait' too, but like you say I think there's a bigger demographic of members that would remember 'Perfect'. I also think there's going to be some big songs being sent through this round and think 'Perfect' might be better equipped to compete with them.

I'm indecisive about which would do better. 'F**kin' Perfect' has the benefit timeline-wise for sure, but I'm not sure how loved it is? I could see it being, like, a lot of people's 9th favourite or so. I think 'Family Portrait' stands out more, especially lyrically, and is the kind of song that could make an immediate impact for first-time listeners, but it would be risky to rely on first-time listeners in a round probably full of well-known songs.

Perfect is one of my very favs!
