#07 make up

 

Make Up is short but sweet. It's obviously not essential but its so fun and cheerful and I'm glad it make the album.

make up is okay, not an essential really (though I'd still rank it above needy oops)

Yes it's how albums work these days mostly but I'm still not over them just DROPPING the era after Break Up :cry: The pop injustice!

 

It's absolutely mental, after essentially cutting the sweetener era short too.

'bad idea' also looked like it was a highlight on tour. Sounds great in the videos!

From a big highlight to... my least favourite on the album :kink: this is... cute enough I guess, but inessential.

Ugh. I always forget this song exists :drama:

 

I can never decide if I like it or not. I think it gets a bit of a hard time, but at the same time... I feel like it's kinda deserved?

The era had so much more potential in it :( I would have preferred a post album single instead of boyfriend

 

make up is my least favourite :cry: It's not bad, it just feels a bit inessential for me. In terms of sequencing I think it's an odd song to place between two really stunning songs (bad idea and ghostin).

I like the reggae vibe to this one but not the most essential track on the album. It's good in the context of the album however.

ghostin' is stunning :wub: need to read up on the meaning of the lyrics as I'm sure this refers to Mac Miller passing away. One of my favourite unreleased album ballads ever!

Ariana's best ballad. It's so haunting and I feel every single lyric on every single listen. I was walking to uni at like 8 am the first time I heard it and I had to stop and sit down for a bit when the song ended.

 

I completely understand but am still so disappointed Ari felt it too personal to perform on tour because that would have been such a moment.
