Really like in my head but it's not one of my favourites. This album is so hard to rank! :cheeseblock:

Really like 'in my head' as well <3 can see why it wasn't a single but I wouldn't have minded if it was one ~

This was such a great use of sample. I don't like this as much as everyone else though. I got bored of it, relatively quickly. It's a bop though, I just think there is far stronger on the album!

I can't believe were on to the singles already :o

7 Rings was a song I was slightly unsure of on the first listen but the sample had grew on me by the 2nd listen and now I love it.

One of the songs I had the best time singing along to on tour. The lyrics overall (the hair line!) and the rap are iconic.

Trio of bops a-coming :cheeseblock: I've never really thought about it but it's kinda weird that the three #1 singles are all shoved to the end. I adore 'Break Up' but it's not an album closing song imo? But we'll get to that one soon x

Same! If the Vogue video went more viral maybe it would have become one. :P

'7 rings'  my favourite of the singles and fighting for the crown with 'ghostin' for best overall! I think this is possibly the most instant an Ariana single has been for me. I was like "what is THIS?!" in the best kind of way  so infectious and the video was great too. Still in awe that she pulled off that interpolation well tbh.

With that sample it was always going to be incredible or awful - thankfully Ariana makes it work so well! Kinda iconic tbh and so many quotable lines. I'm kinda surprised the GP took this to as well as they did, four weeks #1 is impressive! Just makes me wish Gwen Stefani 'Wind It Up' did as well as this :')

7 rings is a bop but I think I prefer the other singles! I remember being surprised on first listen but it definitely grew

I felt underwhelmed by thank u, next at first but it hugely grew on me, what an earworm, and such a gorgeous sentiment too

Thank U, Next

The song really felt like a huge turning point in her career which is very impressive for a song that was just thrown out on a Saturday evening to overshadow Pete's appearance on SNL after he had shaded her in the promo for it.

My favourite Ari video too! I've still not seen 13 Going On 30 but I love the other 3 films referenced.

I don't go back to 'tu,n' that often now because I maaaajorly overplayed it at the time. But I still absolutely love it every time I do <3 It was seriously everywhere in late 2018 :o

The video was lowkey a flop for me though lol

'thank u, next' was definitely one of the biggest growers on the album for me! Initially I compared it too much to the 'Sweetener' singles and was bitter about it sailing to such success while they comparatively struggled. But over time it clicked and now I love it. Such a mature reflection on break-ups!

The video also :cheeseblock: 'Mean Girls' is my favourite film so you can bet that my hype was through the roof waiting for that to drop!!

I love the 90's RnB backing to this! I think in comparison to some of her other big singles it pales a bit, but in it's own right it's a really good and well-written song that was clever to be so hooky and radio friendly. A fully fledged meme and 'thank u, next' has entered the English vocabulary.

I feel the same way about this as I do about 7 rings! It's odd coz at the time I was confused as to how it was such a huge smash when ntltc, although huge, wasn't anywhere near as impactful? The video is her very best though, imo. Iconic. It's a cute song though with a ridiculously strong hook!
