June 17, 20205 yr Is it likely that Be Kind will stay Top 40? Is what’s behind it likely to overtake? Could end up outside the top 40 again, sales are pretty tight. Is Break My Heart #11?! #14
June 17, 20205 yr everybody get your Rihanna Umbrellas out because we are in for an ONSLAUGHT of "Rain"-fall  3 weeks Top 2 - the power!!!
June 17, 20205 yr everybody get your Rihanna Umbrellas out because we are in for an ONSLAUGHT of "Rain"-fall  3 weeks Top 2 - the power!!! Wouldn't "rainfall" be more appropriate when it drops from the top 2? :kink:
June 17, 20205 yr Sorry to ask a query about last week's chart. How come the Spanish girl group Hinds with "The Prettiest Curse" were showing at No24 in the album midweeks but then failed to stay in the top 100 by the time of the official weekly chart. Surely even with no sales in the second half of the week it would stay at least top 100 having been 24? Was it removed from the charts? Edited June 17, 20205 yr by Borza

It wasn't removed, it did indeed fall out of the Top 100 in the second half of the week! (it was just outside in the end)
June 17, 20205 yr Sidenote: Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift is growing fast on American radio. Expect it be announced as the fifth single from the album soon. I reckon this good do well in the U.K. especially if she gets a feature on it. (It peaked at 27 last August after the albums release)
June 17, 20205 yr Because people must have depressing lives if they constantly listen to that. In other news, I hope shit 9ine misses the top 5 Well the media is hardly sunshine and rainbows

June 17, 20205 yr She should have lead the campaign with this, in hindsight. The song is fantastic but Me! And YNTCD are the most commercial sounding tracks on the album so she probably made the right choice with her leada
June 18, 20205 yr The song is fantastic but Me! And YNTCD are the most commercial sounding tracks on the album so she probably made the right choice with her leada I agree with you on YNTCD but Me! should never have been on the album- it takes away from the cohesiveness of the record. Also she removed that repugnant ‘spelling is fun’ line, clearly showing that she retrospectively realised what a silly move that whole song was. She should have led with YNTCMD in April, then Cruel Summer in June, followed by The Man in August (with the album) and then closed it with Lover in November. Me! was a terrible choice for the lead! Anyways sorry for the rant. Lets hope they release Cruel Summer as a single soon; it’s so appropriate for the world right now! Edited June 18, 20205 yr by Cognizant
June 18, 20205 yr SO exciting but only if her label pushes it well... The Man was so poorly executed. That’s true but streaming held The Man back. Any post-album single will need a remix to do well. The only artist breaking that rule now is Harry Styles. I’m hearing about a possible Post Malone feature on Cruel Summer? Edited June 18, 20205 yr by Cognizant
June 18, 20205 yr I think it's more Spotify's fault than her label, Spotify does not support post-album singles for some reason Harry is the only one having post album singles but that's despite the lack of Spotify support Falling and now Watermelon Sugar were added to HH, but at the middle/bottom, never fully supported like they do with Lonely or Flowers etc Me is easily the worst Taylor song ever, so that should have been kept in a drawer and never released Cruel Summer > The Man > Lover would have been a great sequence Edited June 18, 20205 yr by Bjork
