Beverley I’d say will almost definitely be top female but I think it’s a male winner this year!

I like that we’re seeing a bit more of Jess I hope she comes out of her shell.

I keep voting for her and Giovanna for the trials but they’re probably wasted votes tbh it’ll be Jordan on his own or Jordan and someone else until they decide who does them themselves when the vote switches to who we want to stay. I do think that once you’ve done a trial the following night you should be exempt from the vote so we get different people.

Are people actually enjoying this?!

It's SO dull for me, I don't get what people see in it! :( And I have tried! Different strokes for different folks I guess!

Agreed, I've tried and just can't get into it either. I'm not usually the biggest fan of the show anyway but I thought a different setting and a pretty good cast would help.

And people get so personally offended when you don't like it on twitter etc, I'm not stopping anyone else enjoying it, I'm just saying I'm not getting it or enjoying it that much.

There’s no way they would do that they want viewers plus the rest wouldn’t make sense if they did try at as there would be a post conflict atmosphere.

I’m enjoying Jordan and Shane was funny tonight with him farting and scaring Jordan. The rest are background as they are generally quieter.

Beverley and Jordan will be top 2!

Past campmates in recent series have said there were a lot of major arguments that weren't shown! I want to say Jacqueline Jossa said so herself.

It's no coincidence that pretty much every series has almost been completely devoid of almost any conflict since Lady C's series.

I find enjoyment in the survival/character-building aspect, seeing how different personalities work in unusual circumstances and around people they may not usually cross paths with. Take Jordan for instance, I think we were anticipating him to be the one to always say "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" but he's risen to the challenge and pushed through his fears. I find that sort of growth and inner-strength really encouraging. I'd much rather see that than bitterness and arguments and people falling apart. That's how the likes of X Factor destroyed themselves. I don't find much entertainment in watching weakness.

I'm hating having this on this year but Mr D* loves it. If there's one thing that I don't need in lockdown, it's the same show every night that makes it feel even more like groundhog day than it already does in lockdown!

I've heard they edit out arguments that happen now which is a shame, not that I enjoy watching people argue all the time but it adds a different perspective to the positivity of it all.
I don’t think that’s true cause there was a few arguments I remember last year with Ian Wright , James Haskell and some other guy (can’t remember his name) . I can’t see there being any arguments with this lot though .

It feels like they have it so easy this year and the creepy crawlies, at least for now, aren't as grim (I doubt they're going to bring a huntsman spider over here)

I'm missing that big international personality.

I'm not disliking it, but unless something gets kicked up a gear or two, I'm not going to get invested. I hate that Jordan will be getting every trial and the public being "LOLLLLLL!!!!!!!!", "He's my winner!!" and "Aww he was amazing in the end!" with his predictable game plan that never seems to fail.

I'm really hoping Giovanna pulls a Jacqueline and comes out her shell more to actually nab it towards the end.

Honestly, I really think it’s unfair to say it’s a gameplan! He is genuinely terrified, there’s no faking that.

It’s easy to go why’s he on the show then but (a) it’s a challenge, (b) obviously money and © it’s a great platform for him starting in his career.

Be interesting to see what happens this evening as he was mainly calmed down by Shane last time - he will only have Ant and Dec this time.

Yeah I agree there's no way he could be faking that. We've seen both real and fake reactions before and that was not fake  Also everyone reacts to fear in different ways so I think it's unfair to say he's making a ploy for screen-time. Obviously it does do that as a secondary effect but if we never had situations that brought out these reactions what would be the point in the show??

I do agree on the point about making people immune after they've just done a trial. Would be great to switch-up the characters and giving everyone a chance to shine!

I can believe that they don’t show arguments. The Lady C series was epic but it did get some complaints didnt it. But what made that series was the fact there was some conflict in camp and that it wasn’t a happy camp who were constantly well fed

Tbh I know it’s not the same show but Love Island as well another ITV reality show has become more PC too. I think they’re wanting the show to be seen as a family show and not an adult show. I still enjoy the show but it’s definitely making me miss CBB I just like seeing personalities clash

Just dropping by to say I'm finding it a massive struggle this year. It all feels so stale, boring and predictable. It's hardly a new observation, but it's like a weird mix of Big Brother, Crystal Maze and the normal show and yet comes out as less enjoyable than any of those. I'm also VERY conscious of the padding this year - perhaps due to only watching this and Bake Off on 'actual' TV now - but it just feels like there's about 20 minutes of actual CONTENT each night which is not great.

I'm enjoying the series so far, like the new lick of paint & Ant/Dec getting to use new material related to the castle theme.

Line-up is strong too imo. Also on the side that whilst arguments/conflict can be entertaining, that's no good if the show relies heavily on it. I think 2015 is always brought up because it was so much on the conflict side and was a one-off. If it was like that every year that'd be boring as well. Plus that's not correct in that they haven't shown arguments since. We had Ian Lee vs everyone (mainly vs Dennis/Rebekah) in 2017 then we had Ian Wright vs Andrew Maxwell and James vs everyone last year.

It's a good bit of escapism telly and a welcome distraction for the next 3 weeks.

I agree, it's easy watching. I like the drama sometimes, but it is really uncomfortable to watch and the producers can give you a good/bad edit depending on how they want it to go. Clearly the big difference this year is the trial takes place the following day, so from an editing/filming perspective I can imagine that is a huge challenge. There is certainly some padding, but they have to really and they haven't been able to do the 2 camps thing this year either. I suspect there will be something coming up later which mixes it up.

I also agree about the trials, the same thing happens every year but the producers must love it. Jordan's team must be loving it too as it is clearly going to do wonders for his career. I do think out of all the reality shows with celebs, I'm A Celeb has the biggest effect on people's careers?

100% on that last part! The biggest ones in the last few years have been Joel Dommett, Scarlett Moffatt and Emily Atack - and Jordan is of the same demographic as them.

You can go back even further too - the boosts for the likes of Joe Swash, Stacey Solomon, Phil Tufnel, Christopher Biggins, Peter Andre and Katie Price. Then you have others like Mark Wright, Myleen Klass, Jimmy Bullard who have done very well for themselves too amongst countless others I suppose.
