April 11, 20214 yr Author Great game there at the London stadium! Really good game, I thought Leicester were going to nick it! Definitely means the Champions League places are wide open. Chelsea have to play both Leicester and West Ham so points to be dropped by someone still! Surely two from West Ham, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool. I don't think Everton are consistent though and surely Spurs just blow too hot and cold. They don't seem to be able to hold on to a lead ever.
April 12, 20214 yr Fully deserved win yesterday after the worst VAR call EVER. The incredible away run just goes on and on! I will HOWL if Leicester bottle top 4 again. Lingard is just something else at the moment. Brilliant news for us as we'll either be getting back a player bang in form or a shitload more money now he's put an extra zero at the end of his price tag. Plus if his goals keep out a traditional rival out of the top 4, that's the icing on the cake.
April 12, 20214 yr Author I honestly didn't think the VAR call was that bad, those get given as fouls all the time now unfortunately. Both sets of players were diving about all the time yesterday. This is definitely something which has got worse with no fans, I see it in a lot of games, a player just needs to scream and the referee will give a foul. Let's pray that the players get fed their dinner last night
April 12, 20214 yr Oh f*** off Roo. If that had been given against Liverpool you'd be petrol bombing the FA this morning. By any objective and reasonable stand point that was a horrific decision and Son should be suspended for his theatrics. Until we start implementing match bans for cheating lying divas then we will end up with utter jokes like that. Honestly. If I were Son i am not sure I could live with myself after pulling off that. 3 minutes of rolling on the floor for nothing? Took the entire spurs squad to help him back to his feet and then a couple of mins later he scores? Miraculous recovery. Given how long he was on the ground you'd think Scotty had shot him in the face or at least pistol whipped him and knocked him unconscious. One of the most embarrassing things I have ever seen a grown adult outwith the USA do.

One of the most embarrassing things I have ever seen a grown adult outwith the USA do. Nah not really. It's a foul, I don't agree with them but they get given as fouls. We actually had a player sent off for that before. The antics and theatrics is all part of the game unfortunately. Rashford did something similar yesterday too when he went down clutching is face after being kicked. Managers obviously encourage all these tactics, see Trezequet in the Livepoool game vs Villa at the weekend where he miraculously rolled himself back on the pitch to stop the game after being injured.
April 12, 20214 yr Yeah my anger isn't at Son who did what every player is taught to do now and over-exaggerate every little bit of contact. It worked, it saved his team a goal. He'll get a big pat on the back from Jose for that. My anger is at those in charge of the game who have allowed stuff like this this to happen. That incident wouldn't be a foul in any lower or non-league setup in the country but the fact it is in the pinnacle of the sport, the Premier League is an absolute embarrassment. Contrary to what Ole said after the game, every child is taught to play-act now as more often than not it benefits the team. Very sad indeed but that's how the game has gone unfortunately.

Totally, it is horrendous and only getting worse. Like I said before, since no crowds players have twigged to scream during any contact and the referees will always give the foul. It's so widespread in the game and is really infuriating. Loads of players are guilty at it, English players are one of the worst too (looking at you Harry Kane).
April 12, 20214 yr Yeh I hate the way fifa and uefa and the fa have created this situation where football isn’t physical at all now, like basketball on the ground now. Anytime there’s a sliding tackle at all now players roll about now to get players booked and even sent off. It’s is possible though to take the position that Son did get caught and also it wasn’t a free kick.
April 12, 20214 yr Author PGMOL has lost the plot now with VAR. I genuniely don't know how they can expect us to take some of these absolute marginal calls seriously when they come out with rubbish like today. Either that, or 85% of the referees need sacking! But it's fine, they're happy to draw lines when they can't even see the ball, like the horrendous call Liverpool got against Leicester which completely changed the game. I'm not bitter I swear :D Whoever gets in to that FA Cup final out of Southampton and Leicester is going to be an absolute pasting!
April 12, 20214 yr Brilliant to see Leeds get the win on Saturday, even with 10 men they kept attacking and most certainly worked out for them this week!

They need to take the lines away from every play and only ask refs to check the screen if it’s an obvious error - it where do you stop now you’ve unleashed it??
April 13, 20214 yr Anyone seen the tik tok video showing Son being slapped and then Fergies interview saying ‘he could have been killed’ from a United game vs Swansea in 2013 😂
April 18, 20214 yr Sheffield United's relegation was officially confirmed yesterday after they lost 1-0 to Wolves and Newcastle beat West Ham 3-2. Norwich got promoted back to the Premier League on the same day.
April 18, 20214 yr Sheffield Utd have therefore equalled the record for the earliest PL relegation (measured by games played). At least that is better than looked possible when they got just two points from their first 17 games.
April 19, 20214 yr Must be the biggest case of second season syndrome ever. Challenging for Europe followed by one of worst seasons in PL history. Watch out Leeds next season?
April 19, 20214 yr It’s easily done imo outside of the top 8/10 the other clubs are just a poor managerial appointment off championship or even league one football imo. Like does anyone even think Burnley will be a premier league club once Dyche leaves?
April 19, 20214 yr Spurs have sacked Mourinho. 6 days before a cup final. I have no words  Edit: Apparently it's to do with this Super League proposal. He refused to take training today. Edited April 19, 20214 yr by Dobbo.
April 19, 20214 yr Must be the biggest case of second season syndrome ever. Challenging for Europe followed by one of worst seasons in PL history. Watch out Leeds next season? Reminds of Ipswich Town. They finished 5th in the 2000/01 season, then finished 18th the following season.
April 19, 20214 yr Spurs have sacked Mourinho. 6 days before a cup final. I have no words  Edit: Apparently it's to do with this Super League proposal. He refused to take training today. The source for that is a fake account, amazed at how far it's spread  Jose is gone, he's finished at the top level. I admire the sacking, can't risk winning it and having to keep him on.
April 19, 20214 yr I can't believe they'd sack him literally right before the sole reason they brought him in in the first place, to win a trophy. They're one game away.
