Posted August 27, 20204 yr Moving onto Album #9 with 2003's American Life which was a concept album with themes of the American Dream and materialism. With production by Mirwais & Madonna herself, the album is a folk and folktronica album; as well, it is influenced by acoustic music. Upon release the album received mixed reviews but managed to sell over 5 Million copies worldwide, while far from a failure, it was still a far cry from the sales of her previous efforts. 5 singles overall were released from this project, but which is your fave? August 27, 20204 yr Nothing Fails Love Profusion Die Another Day Hollywood American Life Nothing Fails is glorious :heart: :wub: The rest are kinda like the worst tracks on the album for me. The album is so half and half for me and I find I love the other tracks (bar I’m So Stupid). I can see why she went with those single choices but yeah they’re not great for me. Nobody Knows Me deserved better :lol:

Even if it didn't turn the era around commercially, at least the era might be more fondly thought of retrospectively. 'Nobody Knows Me' would have been a good single too.
