December 6, 20205 yr How do you explain Bieber being ahead of Little Mix (by a lot) on the Official Charts but behind them on Amazon, when that’s the only platform he’s on I'm not trying to explain it but I'm simply saying that they'll drop as the week goes on
December 6, 20205 yr I'm not trying to explain it but I'm simply saying that they'll drop as the week goes on You have to admit it certainly seems fishy? We all knew this was coming this year and Amazon haven’t disappointed
December 6, 20205 yr You have to admit it certainly seems fishy? We all knew this was coming this year and Amazon haven’t disappointed  I'm finding it fishy this year and I found it fishy last year too, I think it makes some level of sense with much of the market being on ACR but not completely. It's difficult when Amazon don't release streaming figures alongside their chart (and the fact they spammed River every few songs when people asked Alexa to play Christmas songs...)
December 6, 20205 yr Bieber being ahead of Little Mix surely discredits the ACR theory though Hence why I said it makes some level of sense but I still find it fishy! :P
December 6, 20205 yr What an exciting week in store, roll on the Monday sales. Can’t wait to see them. Think Mariah will finally get it this week and stay there until Jess or Ladbaby takes over on Xmas week then not to sure about the post Xmas week as we only have two days when Xmas songs do ok. Think Ball/Boe will be number one album with 40-45k sales and Yungblud will be number two with 28k and Shaun 17/18k. (Not sure if he’ll be number 3 or 5 as Gary will be about with the show tonight!
December 6, 20205 yr I believe that both Mariah & Wham deserve the #1. Their songs are the real Xmas anthems. If Amazon or ACR are "falsifying the chart" we cannot do anything. Jesse & Ellie have a new number 1, which is a cover, which is a Xmas cover, that the majority of the public doesn't even know or have listened to at all. We all know that this kind of situations don't last forever, in the next year there will be new methods XD. Just for the stats AIWFCIY is missing the number one only in the UK, Japan and Italy if we concider all the biggest markets
December 6, 20205 yr I believe that both Mariah & Wham deserve the #1.. They are good but I prefer Shaky to both as it's just so catchy. Good job he delayed it from '84 to 1985. Edited December 6, 20205 yr by CHRIS-TMAS

December 6, 20205 yr For reference, the sales gaps between Mariah and Jess last week (position in brackets is Jess' position, Mariah was #2 each time): 4,362 Monday mids [#12] 7,839 Tuesday mids [#18] 10,675 Wednesday mids [#21] 13,851 Thursday mids [#24] 19,856 Friday chart [#28] Bieber slumped a lot too, from #8 on Sunday to #21 on Friday. Ellie slumped every week from Sunday to Friday last year (except the week she was actually #1, though I suspect the gap had still closed somewhat by the time Friday came). This is because Amazon report their data on time usually, while Spotify, Apple and YouTube tend to be a day behind. that cheeky 6k instead of the 'regular' 3k every day before?? so weird or am i going insane? how are the OCC not investigating this  anyways let's hope Mariah gets #1 this week then i won't care ever again! :cheer:

December 6, 20205 yr Remember there was missing Spotify and YouTube data, which would have made the gap even bigger from Thursday to Friday when it got upweighted! oh oops - just realised it was the difference and not Jess' units :D my bad...!
December 6, 20205 yr After last year's Mariah/Ellie fiasco I thought and still think that the Official Charts Company should be stripped of the UK chart contract!
December 6, 20205 yr so now when you ask Alexa to play Xmas songs... what does she play, Jess or Bieber? or Mariah? (or still River?) :D
December 7, 20205 yr My Alexa played Mariah & WHAM as their first two songs last year aswell, which baffles me even more with the whole Amazon exclusive theory.
