I expect Nathan & Little Mix will turn into at least somewhat of a hit in 2021 but I'm not sure there's any realistic prospect of them getting to #1, let alone as early as the first chart of the year.

Britney Spears backstreet boys matches

Now that would be a moment

I think the 69 song by Ariana Grande might do it. It's a pure guess based on nothing though!
Is based by how well it’s currently doing I’m sure, it’s not a bad shout
Yeah when taking out the Christmas songs and tracks set to be on ACR that week ('positions' + 'Sweet Melody') - '34+35' would be left at #1 right now! Depends if it can hold up enough until then compared to other impending threats, e.g. how The Kid LAROI's momentum can build from here.
‘Without You could be its main threat imo, it jumped into the top 10 this week without Xmas songs from a long way outside the top 40!
willow please :cheeseblock: (if not, then Prisoner!!)

Part of me is thinking that one of these will get #1 on the New Year’s chart (the one that ZERO people care about) and then someone releases something HUGE in the first week of January and everything else misses out on the top spot

There is someone who cares about it.

That being you, because you keep posting that apparently no one cares about it. x

I'm really hoping that Kid LAORI song won't be a huge #1 but I can just see it. :(

It is LAROI, not LAORI. Just saying because this is like the 4th time I've seen you make that typo. :kink:

You have the wrong artist for 'Get Out My Head'. Although I suppose the song is so generic it's only right for it to be confused entirely for the already existing house song with the same name. :P

Of course Redlight's song Get Outta My Head wasn't very generic at all at the time and really was a precursor to the deep house trend a year later. I loved it at the time. I still like the Shane Codd song though and as for it making #1 in the New Year I certainly wouldn't rule it out.

Oh right. Thanks! Who knows how long I'd have been getting that wrong for if you hadn't told me?

"LAROI" actually sounds much better.

I was going to point it out except I’m the worst buzzjacker in history to point out a spelling mistake

Wonder if Eminem has a shot now with a new album out today. I doubt it but not completely out of the question
Do the newer songs get swamped on the first week of the new year by more established singles?
Kid Laroi has seemingly stalled a bit already so now I really think Whoopty could do it *.*
