nope, it's not counted as a new album

and not sure if I understood but of course double albums don't count as 2 sales, just 1

Are we sure Ed's even releasing? The only source seems to be some random radio station most people have never heard of and it hasn't been reported anywhere else...

There's been some Insta comments from Ed himself, so it seems it is real

his site has some limited variants but the white one, the normal one, is not limited and available everywhere

Yeh might try and get that on Monday but the red one looks gorgeous 😥

Who are your predictions for the top 10 when the official singles chart gets announced on Friday?

Edited by daniellovesmusic

My predictions

1) Ladbaby

2) Mariah Carey

3) Wham

4) Jess Glynn

5) Shaky

6) The Pogues

7) Brenda Lee

8) Justin Bieber & Lewisham Choir

9) Ariana Grande Positions

10) The Kunts

No way Bieber is making the top 10. Would be surprised to see him top 40. It’s been a big flop from him

^sure this is the week when Alexa will inflate their streams like crazy, that what they did last year

It wouldn't surprise me if Jess ends up higher than Mariah/Wham, Bieber top 10 seems possible too

you cannot really qualify those songs. as hits or flops, their chart position is Alexa-related not human-related

I think he's talking about the Holy remix

Yeah I was. Think Rockin’ Around (Bieber) will probably also miss the top 10 tho, will probably be between 11 and 15

The main reason that I think the Ed rumour is true is that both the Radio 1 and Radio 2 A-Lists are mysteriously missing 1 song, which normally indicates there is a song they know is coming but can't reveal yet.

oh that's true, was thinking/hoping it would be Willow but being Ed makes more sense

surprised we haven't had any Mids info yet as this is the most important week of the year

but of course people acre more about Kylie's release week than Xmas #1 :D

I thought Holy would be on ACR?

It's basically just a remix, isn't it?

And so what if we do?

Kylie release week IS more important than Christmas.
Would you guys rather have Mariah at #1 on Christmas day, or LadBaby?

LadBaby or Wham! Ed can wait for his turn. Also, with next years Xmas chart being announced on Xmas Eve, it will have been the first time since 2006 when the chart was announced on Xmas Eve

Also, do sales count twice, since it's a double disk (or would be, if there was a physical CD)? I read that somewhere, but that bit doesn't seem right to me.

for the RIAA in the US, I believe double albums count as two sales only in terms of certifications (or at least did in the physical era, not sure about now). For instance, OutKast's "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" has only 5.7 million sales, but it's certified 11xPlatinum there.

You do realise we don't usually get mids information during the xmas week (hardly), some our sources are probably on leave, bearing this in mind we might not even get any this week. And have to rely on todays First Look Chart and Mondays update from OCC.

As far as I know MW is closed now till 4th January, so I doubt we get anything from them.

Yeah it’s is on ACR. It went on ACR 2 weeks ago, and been in the top 100 since.
