December 21, 20204 yr Its a nice enough song, Probably be the first #1 of 2021. Can't see it doing enough to get Christmas #1 over Ladbaby though.
December 21, 20204 yr I quite like this! I'm so glad he's moved away from the trend chasing sound that doesn't feel that natural for him. Feels very appropriate for winter and I like the vocoder vocals and like Dandy say it gives that comforting Bon Iver sound! I suppose he has been inspired by folklore and evermore!
December 21, 20204 yr You said that with some determination. I'm ready. (Not a Sheeran fan just wanted to reply to that)
December 21, 20204 yr It's in my head still after one play half an hour ago so he's doing something right - melody is definitely his forte.
December 21, 20204 yr It's OK, at least it's not completely inauthentic and obviously made for commercial purposes like pretty much everything on Divide was.
December 21, 20204 yr It's not bad, I agree it's very Folklore-esque which makes sense in a year like this and that's good thing, and it at least sounds authentic and not hit-chasing. Given it's apparently a one off though, I'll wait and judge whether his actual album material is this brave.
December 21, 20204 yr saw this on another forum and really made me laugh: The sun is reflected by the coffee in your hand.....Watch out Joni Mitchell!
December 21, 20204 yr OMG this is actually rly quite good. it's the most natural he's sounded for a loooong long time.
December 21, 20204 yr f*** bon iver's drag right add a couple more layers and vocal effects which is Bon Iver's current signature and you'll get an almost identical song. with an exception that this is 5 times more basic ofc. it's much easier to spoon feed that to the GP after all. 2/5 Edited December 21, 20204 yr by b
December 21, 20204 yr I don't similarity with Bon Ever at all, like zero. Minus infinite :D 00000 million?
