January 20, 20215 yr I thought that people would stream music more if they were stuck at home. Going by the streams on the Spotify chart ('drivers license' aside), it doesn't seem so. I guess people may tend to stream more when they're on the go, or at parties at the weekend.
January 20, 20215 yr yes it seems to be that lockdown gives more of a boost to Netflix than Spotify. people don’t generally sit down to listen to music like they do for TV.

January 20, 20215 yr are the NOW! albums more popular that ever now ? No because you can just stream any playlist rather than buy a CD. It makes me sad because, as described in this thread, listening to music is no longer an event for the majority of people. It’s something to have on in the background, something to not really think about. I started my vinyl collection just over 2 years ago and I’ve really gotten back into properly listening to what I’m listening to. But the, I’ve never been one to stream.
