Continuing to post all of the same stats as I did last year and the year before - that is the main 'YTD by points' list that most people might be interested in, and a bunch of other various lists which you can peruse if you want to go down the rabbithole of way too much detail for a simple online song contest. "As before all ties are broken by number of votes, then number of 18s, 15s etc. (and ties in the votes and 18s based lists are first broken by total points). The songs EOY ranks songs based on their percentage of the maximum possible score they could achieve in that contest (i.e. if they received 18 from every other country). As such, Summericia, Aeroche and Lookylion begin the year making up the top 3 of this list. Ojnoj and Altyr Muunilinst begin in 4th and 5th. - D'yermak'er also greatly overperform their result by starting off at #6 (the lowest finishing of another three way tie for 4th place). Danæviia, despite winning the contest, begin here as low as 7th, while Fljótavík land in 8th, Rolloland 9th and Bøtanikkä buck the trend of all others mentioned so far by actually matching their points position at 10th. Jupiterdonia come in a clear 2nd with 5, and the top 5 is made up by a three way tie on 4 18s for Danæviia, Summericia and Ojnoj. - Rolloland are this time the only country in the top 10 to match their position from the main list coming in 6th as the top performing of four countries to get 3 18s. Long suffering Chestoria get off to a good start as they take 7th place, while Hendinia and St. Burbia both also overperform their positions to start in 8th and 9th. Fljótavík were the top performing nation with 2 18s and get to start in the top 10 here. January 25, 20214 yr Author Rolling YTD top 30 (top 30 countries in the last ten contests (BJSCs 122-131)) - They take a hit in points but Altyr Muunilinst start the year as they left off last year, holding #1 for the 9th update in a row and 11th in total (their lead over #2 growing from 16 points to 69). Aeroche and Hendinia also bleed points but Aeroche less so allowing them to rise a place back to #2 knocking Hendinia down to #3. United States of Jack suffered a ban this month (and supposedly may be done entering the contest anyway) but they'll continue to hang around on this list for a bit longer regardless, they hold at their #4 peak for a second update in a row here, while FARC climb a place to return to the top 5. - Cor Lupus also have a one place climb to #6 despite their DNQ this month (after all they kicked off 2020 with a DNQ too, and we wouldn't forget it x). Bøtanikkä rise 5 places to #7 which marks a new peak for them on this list - they last placed in the top 10 at #10 in the BJSC 83-92 update, and previously peaked at #9 in the updates for BJSCs 11-20 and 22-31. Ojnoj recover 2 places to #8, while Greenfroze rise 5 places to #9 which matches their previous peak set in the update for BJSC 25-34 (nearly a full decade ago!) which was also the last time they placed in the top 10. Persephonia take a hit from our DNQ but still just about stick out in the top 10, down 5-10. Not so lucky were Hushkanukia whose DNQ costs them 8-13, while FSR Rontvia have an even bigger drop of 9-17 even though they did qualify this month. As such Aeroche finally overtake their number of months in the top 10 of this list to claim yet another obscure stats record for themselves, with 83 months in the top 10 in all. - There's only one further new peak in the top 30, as Mosquetania rise four places to #24 one month after making their debut. As I accidentally gave away in the last thread Rolloland climb into the top 20 for only the second time ever, their peak remaining #18 in the BJSC 103-112 update. And St. Burbia's 11 position loss from the 18 point system ties for the third biggest gulf ever behind Singerpurear 117 (Lene Lovich - Bird Song) and Hushkanukia 118 (Marion Raven - We Are W.I.T.C.H.) which each lost 13 positions.
January 25, 20214 yr Wow *.* my best ever start on a YTD and the first time I've ever been #1 on the 18s list I think :wub: Thought Trudge would be popular under the 12 point system as I got so many sets of 18 and 11 and generally a lot of high points. Top 3 in an alternative universe!
January 25, 20214 yr we all know BJSC is more than a 'simple' online song contest! yay for Danæviia topping the YTD for the first time ever simply by virtue of winning the year's first contest. seems I was quite lucky to do so too if 7 of last year's winners would've beaten it, so the song came at just the right time for me. great to see the win push me back in the rolling top 20 too. did Storm by any chance get the most medal points this time, even with a few others getting more +18s, with a whopping 14 of my 28 votes being those? (4 +18, 6 +15, 4 +13)

(4 +18, 6 +15, 4 +13) It did - by quite a big margin actually (the next highest was 10 each for Dobago, Fljótavík and Summericia). Just got a little unlucky to not convert too many of those to a full 18 I guess!

I did feel like I have been more successful in the last year than in a very long time, but an entire decade? Wow!
March 26, 20214 yr Author was racing to try and get this update done before the BJSC 133 results started, missed by a few minutes, darn xx (next update will be more timely pinkie swear) ~ BJSC 132 update YTD by points - 2020 year end champions Altyr Muunilinst may have kicked off 2021 with a mere 11th place finish, but following it up in BJSC 132 with a winner (their fourth win to date) is enough to just barely put them back in the pole position for the year as they jump 11-1. Having a remarkably similar start to the year are Bøtanikkä who came 10th one place ahead of Altyr in BJSC 131, and then came 2nd in BJSC 132 just behind Altyr; that's similarly good enough for them to jump to #2 in the YTD and just two points behind Altyr. Also still within ten points of the leader (8 to be exact) are Danæviia whose auto-qualifier didn't do quite well enough to keep them in the lead, falling 1-3. The only other nation besides Bøtanikkä to go 2 for 2 on top 10s in the year so far was, inevitably, Aeroche who climb 9-4 as a result. The top 5 is rounded out by Summericia falling 2-5. - Dobago rise two places to #6, with a small lead over a tight pack of nations fighting over the last few top 10 spots (with only 8 points separating 7th from 11th). Winning that battle is Fljótavík although they do drop 4-7. Jadakissnia also have a small fall from 5 to 8, and Ojnoj have a bigger fall from 3 to 10, while the only other new arrival to the top 10 is Cumulonimbia who matched their best ever finish of 4th place in BJSC 132 and jump 34-9 on the YTD. March 29, 20214 yr Author BJSC 133 update YTD by points - Achieving a third top 10 in a row in BJSC 133, making them the only country with a 100% top 10 hit rate for the year so far, consistency pays off for Aeroche who move up 4-1 on the YTD despite being yet to have a top 3 hit for the year and having only one top 5. Will this year see Aeroche return to the end of year #1 after a gruelling 2 years of not pulling it off?? The top 4 remain very close, with Summericia climbing back up from #5 to where they started the year at #2 after a bronze medal finish, their second medal position of the year, and they currently sit 12 points behind Aeroche. A second top 10 of the year for Danæviia is enough for them to hold at #3, marginally ahead of Altyr Muunilinst who fall 1-4 despite a respectable result with their auto-qualifier (they are nonetheless still only 23 points away from #1). Bøtanikkä's auto-qualifier likewise did not quite do well enough to prevent them tumbling down the list, falling 2-5. - Dobago picked up their second top 10 of the year but remain stuck in place at #6 on the YTD. Hendinia haven't got off to as strong a start as they did in 2020 but finally kicked into gear this month getting their first top 10 of the year in style with a silver medal finish, which sees them make their first appearance in the YTD top 10 as they rise 20-7. FARC also achieved their first top 10 of the year and enter the YTD top 10 as well, moving up 13-8. Jadakissnia slip one place to #9 and the top 10 is rounded out by Rolloland who re-enter the top tier, moving back up 14-10. March 29, 20214 yr Author Rolling YTD top 30 (top 30 countries in the last ten contests (BJSCs 124-133)) - Aeroche had to eventually get tired of not being #1 on this list and this was a great month for them to fix that as a rare DNQ cycles out of the tracking period and is replaced with a top 5 hit - the 280 point bump pushes them up a place to once again be comfortably #1. This is the 53rd time they have ranked #1 in total now across 11 different runs (they were last #1 before this in the BJSC 113-122 update). Altyr Muunilinst actually managed another increase to their rolling total but nonetheless fall to #2, lagging 143 points behind. Hendinia regain a lot of the points they lost in the last update, being back over 2,000, but remain at #3. Also back over 2,000 thanks to a DNQ cycling out and being replaced with a top 5 hit are FARC who climb back up 2 places to #4, pushing Bøtanikkä back one place to #5. - Cor Lupus drop a place to #6. A trio of countries enter the top 10 after large points gains. Two of those are re-entering for the first time in over a year and a half - Kluminican Republic rise 13-7 and Danæviia 12-8 after respectively 28 and 17 updates in a row outside the top 10. The other is Summericia who rise 7 places to #9 to enter the top 10 for the first time ever, also setting a new peak for the second month in a row. Jadakissnia hang on at #10 behind the climbers, sitting just ahead of Persephonia (we'll take being next to Jadakissnia even if it's with a 7-11 drop). Ojnoj also dip out of the top 10 falling 8-13 and United States of Jack's obvious decline continues as they plummet 9-24. - After spending 2 months in a row at their previous #24 peak, Mosquetania take another leap upwards to a new peak of #12. There's also a new peak for a second update in a row for Rolloland rising to #14. Despite DNQing this month, Caerfyrddia move up to #16 marking the first time they've been in the rolling top 20 since they ranked at #18 in the BJSC 54-63 update (and their highest position since being #15 the month before that). Can we say it was undeserved though?
