February 4, 20214 yr Who do we think might step it up post-break? I reckon Tayce might tbh, there's definitely room for her to do so as the only one who doesn't have a win or a high placement, and I hope this and last week are the start of Bimini domination! *.* I wonder if they're allowed to bring new stuff and get their shit together as well, iirc when they stopped S3 for a bit (this was only two days I think) due to a blow up on set they couldn't bring anything extra with them after but of course this is a completely different situation. I think I'm more excited for next week than any episode so far because if they had 8 months to get stuff together and work on themselves, the latter half of the series could be really incredible!
February 4, 20214 yr I’m definitely expecting a step up for Ellie and Tayce and consistency for Bimini now that she’s found her rhythm. The former in particular has a lot to give despite not a lot of coverage, but then again when you’re not the bitchiest person it’s easy to see why as there’s a lot of bitchy energy in that studio. She just needs to find her comedic side a bit more like Blu did last season and she’ll be fully set as her runways are stunning and there is a performer in there. I understand that Lawrence is one-note and has her moments where she’s mean for the sake of it which is why she isn’t a favourite of mine, but I’m not quite tired of her humour just yet as it’s not failed to give me a laugh, although I can see it happening. She needs to find a range. I also don’t think her runways are as great as the judges are making out - A’Whora did improve and deserve to win that bit more than her I think. Also, I thought Bimini’s hair was meant to be a bit trashy on purpose so what was that critique from Michelle? It made the monster runway look more monsterish. Tia I just can’t warm to at all, not just because the outstanding talent doesn’t seem to be there but because I’ve seen her as a host at a pub quiz in Clapham she co-hosts with Sum Ting Wong and what you see there is not what you see on camera. She is rude and just looks you up and down as if she just wants everyone gone. What you’d expect from A’Whora really.

February 4, 20214 yr Another good episode. I was sad to see Veronica absolutely bomb it and then give off the attitude she did. She had my favourite runway of the week and it's the best she's looked in the competition so far. I believe her runway was what saved her from the bottom. I'm not surprised Ginny left. I'm just glad Sister x2 gave a great lip sync. Lawerence was the right winner. Great performance in the challenge and a great runway. Glad to see Bimini high once again. I've also warmed a bit to A'Whora. Tia looked good on the runway which was a pleasant surprise! If Veronica and Sister x2 didn't bomb as hard as they did, I think Ellie would've been in trouble this week. Her runway look wasn't that great and she didn't really do much of anything in the challenge. Tayce did well in the challenge and looked good on the runway. I'm excited for next week with the 8 month gap between the first and second half of the season. I feel that all the queens would have stepped their game up with the time and we could be in for an incredible second half. Edited February 4, 20214 yr by Envoirment
February 4, 20214 yr A'Whora really impressed me in the challenge, absolutely brilliant and not at all what I expected! Based on that alone I'd have given her the win but I think Lawrence was amazing in both the challenge and the runway so I'm happy with her winning. Lawrence is still my favourite, I'm not at all bored of the humour and I think it's worth considering that she won last week based on fashion alone, so it's not just an automatic win whenever she says something funny in a challenge. The chats between Tia and A'Whora were lovely, and it was great to finally see A'Whora let her guard down! Sister on the other hand, I really don't enjoy. I think Veronica was worse in the challenge but Sister didn't exactly offer much either? The fact she had a go at Veronica was so rude as well. Veronica at least clawed it back on the runway while Sister just didn't. That said, not sure Veronica herself came across well in the untucked section! Not sure how to feel about Ginny at the end... I'd have liked to see her go down fighting rather than just handing it to Sister but I'm not really as sad to see her go as I expected? I agreed with the judges saying she's probably given everything she has to give at this point sadly :(
February 4, 20214 yr Veronica just BLOWING up in Untucked was wild, girl you didn't even attempt a single joke in an improv comedy challenge of course they're going to label you the weakest?! That's why I'm still unsure how to feel and can't get the measure of her, I love how she stuck up for Tia when she was being read but then there's too many flashes where I just can't take to her because of stuff like tonight.

I think it's due to her being insecure as I assume she tends be overlooked/underestimated a lot outside the competition. So when they said which queen is going "home" as opposed to "who do you think the bottom 2 queens are", she took it as them saying anyone can beat her in a lip sync. Add in the pressure cooker that is drag race and she snapped slightly. :(
February 5, 20214 yr Veronica was bad but Sister she could have saved herself...but instead she decided to be dragged into the mess as well. Gin Lemon peaked and her time was up, even Michelle did mentioned that we probably already saw everything what she has to offer. Also I am not sure how Ellie was just safe considering she bombed in mini challenge, she was just ehhh in the main challenge (technically was saved by Lawrence) and her runway look was really ugly imo. And yes I thought A'Whora was just a bit better and deserved the win this week. I feel like Ru is blinded by Lawrence presence that she keeps over looking other queens best efforts!!!
February 5, 20214 yr It was most definitely an eventful episode, with some surprises but also a lot of disappointments. A'Whora, to start with, was imo the strongest and should have won. Which is wild, as I really wanted her to leave and was expecting her not to do well. She really had her 'breakthrough' episode. Her main challenge was fab, she looked great on the runway, and I loved how she finally showed a vunrable side to her. Bimini was also fantastic, yet again. I am getting a bit tired of the judges though, her style is a bit messy, that's part of her and the appeal. Tia was great as well (most definitely her best runway look yet!) and Tayce also felt underlooked. Lawrence is starting to annoy me now. And I do think it's not even Lawrence herself, she IS funny, but the way Ru alsways favours her is making me get tired of her. They said Ginny was a one trick pony, but Lawrence does the same every episode as well.. Veronica and Ellie should have been in the bottom two for me, although I was expecting Sister Sister to shine this episode which sadly did not happen. Her lip sync was very good though.
February 5, 20214 yr This episode really had it all! A’Whora definitely came off better, and I’m glad she was trying to address her issues (wouldn’t surprise me if she regresses a few times though). I’ve always believed that LGBTQ+ people should have access to free therapy from a young age as it is a traumatic experience having to deal with what makes you different - and without help and support this can just cause people to lash out I liked Tia in the episode but like with Ellie, they came across flat in the challenge I would have had Veronica and Sister in the bottom 2. Ginny wasn’t as bad. Although with Ginny, what else was she really going to offer the competition? I actually think Ginny, Lawrence and Bimini are all a bit one note - but at least the latter two are funny with it. That being said there is something I don’t quite like about Lawrence Sister is giving very little but I loooooved the way she nailed the lip sync - such a professional way to handle it
February 5, 20214 yr Author I feel like Lawrence is head & shoulders above the other girls & that's why it's coming across 'boring' bc it's a done deal. Lol at it actually being Ginny who kicked off as I joked yesterday! I would have had Tia in the top over Bimini, this was her best runway by far!
February 5, 20214 yr Yeah as far as all rounders go there’s only a couple I can see getting to the final I find it interesting that the first two winners have either been eliminated or close to elimination

Lol at it actually being Ginny who kicked off as I joked yesterday! I would have had Tia in the top over Bimini, this was her best runway by far! I don't know about head and shoulders above the rest, however she is consistently strong and is a double threat in terms of being able to have good looks on the runaway and a strong personality in the challenges. For the most part, the other Queens excel in 1 and not the other, so with everything evened out, Lawrence does consistently well in both. At the moment I feel Lawrence is a lock for the win, but A'Whora is giving me journey vibes to be the winner - similar to Violet, or Trinity in her season where the comedy was unexpected (I know Trinity didn't win) (although Violet's runway was way ahead of anyone elses that season and Violet wasn't as unlikeable as A'Whora has been). February 5, 20214 yr i think Lawrence is the leagues ahead of everyone... they just exuberate charisma and know what they can do and do it well but in a very well rounded way... I completely agree with the judges critiques on Ginny... she would just be wild and crazy but for no reason... there's a certain point for me when being weird for weird sake isn't interesting? It's a bit mehh... I think Ginny is probably a great cabaret club performer who you'd enjoy with a glass of wine and your friends but that's about it.. I thought their exit was probably heavily edited and possibly even refilmed... There was quite a lot of quick cut shots to when they walked towards the back of the stage and Ru's face and close ups of Sister Sister... There was also a muting on the audio. One particular moment was when they walked towards the back, they had obviously been swirling their arms, stopped and then restarted swirling their arms but there was something in the middle there that was cut. I think giving them the 'Bendela' edit was pretty poor as Bendala was a lot more emotional and you could kinda see her heart in the competition. There was also a note about Lawrence's VT at the beginning of the episode that indicates something went down, obviously the VTs are recorded at the end of a day and Lawrence said something along the lines of "theres a side of Ginny noone wants to see" which seems like a weird thing to say.
February 5, 20214 yr btw i've loved A'Whora from the beginning. My thoughts on top 3 are probably Lawrence, Tayce & Bimini (I feel shes a dark horse).
February 5, 20214 yr I feel like Lawrence is head & shoulders above the other girls & that's why it's coming across 'boring' bc it's a done deal. Really? I don't see that at all, it's certainly not a Bianca season six or even The Viv moment for me. I'd say people like Bimini and Tayce are very close to her right now.
February 5, 20214 yr Author I just feel the level of polish with Lawrence is really strong on the runways. Like, you get the feeling she's never going to give a bad runway, so that's half the battle in the bag. Then she has to just be charismatic on challenges and she's done that so far AND picked up 2 wins even before getting to challenges that'll be more strongly in her wheelhouse like an acting challenge, standup comedy or Snatch Game.

She has had 2 strong weeks, although she was poor in the rats episode and lost with the dancing. So she does have a weakness - I guess it just depends if something similar comes up again that might throw her
February 5, 20214 yr Author Sure; but what I mean is, going by the episodes Drag Race usually throws us, she's already had her bad weeks. Out of the 5 episodes left to go we're likely to have: 1) an acting challenge where she can play a larger than life character 2) Snatch Game where she can play a larger than life character 3) a standup comedy challenge where she can play a larger than life character 4) some kind of advertising challenge where she can play a larger than life character 5) a makeover where she has to use her design & makeup skills with maybe a bit of give and take. And like... a lot of those challenges are going to play in her wheelhouse. So that's why I'd expect her to keep doing well. Of course, I could be completely off on the wrong path or they might switch up the challenges to give us a few more dancing ones!
February 5, 20214 yr Lawrence is clearly great and very polished but I don’t think it’s as cut and dry one horse race as that, it’s a lot more open than last year where it was clearly Baga vs Viv for most of it. I think it’s a case of Lawrence being polished right out the gate vs the journey/underdog storylines of Bimini for example, they’ve got room to grow whereas Lawrence could easily do a Baga and have peaked. I’d be hesitant comparing Lawrence to baga though as she is a much better looks queen which is something Baga never really had. In fact some of baga’s runways were downright awful but that’s another story
