I quickly became a Donna Summer fan after listening to her greatest hits album and I'm starting to make my way through her albums. 'She Works Hard for the Money' was a great choice for the first round!

Brilliant stuff! I hope you like some of the other picks- there’s some more excellent stuff to come!

She Works Hard for The Money brings back bad memories of that Santander advert that was on commercial radio stations in nearly advert break about two years ago  Still a good song though.

ROUND 2: A SONG THAT STARTED OR ENDED AN ERA

My number one option for this round is the mighty Hot Stuff- a change in style for Donna from the more 80s-nuwave style of She Works Hard For The Money in the last round and definitely a more familiar one with Hot Stuff being a number one Billboard Hot 100 hit as well as a peak of 11 in the UK. The song recently received a remix by diva-remixer Kygo and has been covered by The Pussycat Dolls and featured in the fab film, The Martian.

It's an absolute stormer of a track and would love to hear your opinions-

Some other options for this round, and if not then a future round are the following-

-Love To Love You Baby

-Macarthur Park

-No More Tears (Enough is Enough) - although this is my current pick for a future round!

Opinions would be really welcome on all the above songs! And thank you for the votes

All 16 minutes of 'Love To Love You Baby' to troll BuzzJack :D :kink:

'Hot Stuff' seems like an excellent choice *.*

My thoughts exactly- as brilliant as a song it is it's definitely not the one for this due to it's length!

If you are ready/can afford to use it now, I'd use 'Hot Stuff'! :D

I don't recognise the others (except NMT(EIE) - which I'm glad you're saving!) by name though!

CHOICE FOR ROUND 2: Song that started or ended an era

HOT STUFF

Next up for Donna we have one of the quintessential disco songs of all time all backed by that iconic riff. The song was a number 1 hit in the US but surprisingly didn’t even make the top 10 here in the U.K. peaking at number 11. It’s an undeniable crowd pleaser and one of her most recognisable hits- I hope I can remind some of you of the brilliance of this song and realise all of the little things that make this such an all-time smash!

Now- GO VOTE!

So we came 5th in Round 2 which is an improvement on the first round can we challenge for top 3 this round???

My two picks for this round are between Tokyo and Nightlife.

Please if anyone could listen and report back on the stronger choice would be really appreciated!!!

Tokyo:

Nightlife:

Romeo is another option, which I just found out was never a single-

I can’t see any of her songs doing well sadly against the newer sounds of the competition, none of her singles aside from I Feel Love are very contemporary sounding!

Just had a listen. Romeo is probably my favourite, then Nightlife, then Tokyo.

All three are strong choices though!

CHOICE FOR ROUND 3: Non-Single

TOKYO:

For the third round I’ve gone with another song off Donna’s 1983 release She Works Hard For The Money with the mid-tempo, electronic banger that is Tokyo- her vocals are stellar, the production is second to none and it is an absolute favourite of mine which I am really excited for people to hear!

Hope you all enjoy!

So it’s another free choice round and I thought what better time than now to send the undisputed gayest song of all time- a collaboration between two of the most celebrated vocalists to ever live and a song that shows off Donna’s typical- ballad into huge disco banger.

The song was a number one in the US and would love some of your opinions how you all think it will do!!!

No More Tears (Enough is Enough)

Also I’m going to have to promote one of my favourite X Factor performances of all time covering this classic:

‘I Feel Love’ for the final round surely? :o I think that song could even top The Beatles in my ranking :cheeseblock:

Yes I don’t think it’s even a spoiler to announce that I Feel Love will be the choice for the final round

There is no way I Feel Love cant win the last round !!
