Also it’s been revealed in the Semi’s thread that Pagasa and Beaverdonia failed to vote, decreasing their chances of qualifying by some margin.

Pagasa only has a 13% chance of qualifying according to the odds but with a 33% decrease that drops to 8%.

Beaverdonia goes from 88% chance of qualifying to 59% after the decrease.

New Lexico also got a 15% penalty for voting late which takes them from 75% chance of qualifying to 64% chance.

 

And this is all obviously scientifically proven to be very reliable :lol:

Yeah! the ONLY one (in my semi), knew I wasn't imagining things, this bias against me :(

 

Like I said I don't expect to qualify but I didn't consider it a no-hoper either when I entered it, certainly I thought it'd appeal more than the last Mori song I entered, as a) I think it's technically and enjoyably brilliant (particularly lyrically, maybe a bit artistically self-referential but not exclusively so) b) it has good production and is clearly the only song of its kind that it could theoretically appeal to most people enough to give it something, idk, I am hopelessly biased in favour of it but I do hope I'm close at least!

 

also I got top 10 with a rap song last year so bye xx

Tbf the standard of the semi is pretty high so it could v well qualify in a different contest bc it's not bad by any means, maybe it will defy the odds this month even! It gave me low-key icon for hire vibes so I enjoyed it at least :lol:

I don't think this Calli song will do quite as badly as the one from the Halloween spinoff (it is at least somewhat listenable xx) but yeah I'm afraid I don't really see it qualifying either - there have been more shocking qualifiers though I suppose (if 'Santigo Bay Rendez-Vous' can so can anything). F for it being literally the only song with 0 predictions in semi 1 though, that almost makes me want to do a prediction solely to be contrarian and get to brag if it does qualify xx

 

Not sure why TARO Bellamia has 0 predictions when there are 2 inferior versions of the same song in the same semi which got more than 0 :ph34r:

interesting totals analysis of who's likely to flop in semi 1. I thought Zanmatony, Land of DW, and Aelandor all sounded like qualifiers :o There's a few others I'm hoping qualify though wouldnt be surprised if they didnt. I'd guess that a lot of decent entries might get lost in the onrush if. like me, everyone finds that half the ones they want to vote for they can't donate anything... :(
