We’ve reached the final round of the Chart Forum Quiz Season 4! Welcome to:

The rules of Family Fortunes are very simple:

1. Answer each question with what you think the most popular response will be.

2. On each question, you score a point for each other person who gave the same answer as you.

3. There are no incorrect answers in this game – as long your answer is neither blank nor to the effect of “don’t know”, then provided at least one other person gave the same answer as you, you’ll score for that answer.

4. When I said there are no incorrect answers… Question 13 is a little different – this is to guess how many points the highest scoring answer from the earlier questions will be. The scoring works in the same way as the earlier questions (e.g. if 5 other people give the same answer as you, you’ll score 5 points), however if your guess is correct, you’ll also get the number of points you correctly guessed as a bonus! :magic:

QUESTIONS

Q1. An Abba song which isn't on their Gold: Greatest Hits album

Q2. A song with whistling in it

Q3. A song that many people might recognise without knowing the title or who performed it

Q4. A song which peaked at #4 more than a year ago

Q5. A song which, despite being a big hit, was not playlisted by Radio 1

Q6. A song which has been "overplayed" according to many

Q7. A non-Christmas song which mentions "Christmas" in the lyrics

Q8. A song where some of the lyrics have often been misheard

Q9. Other than Joel Corry - Sorry, a song title which rhymes with the artist / group

Q10. Other than Post Malone, an artist / group whose name is the same as someone else's song title

Q11. An artist / group who has headlined Glastonbury

Q12. An artist / group who hasn't yet released a Greatest Hits but could easily have done

Q13. As a number of points, the highest score for a top answer from Q1-Q12 BONUS: if correct, this number of points will be added to your score

To enter, please you could fill in the google form HERE otherwise PM'ing me is fine too.

If there are any queries on the questions, please comment below and I'll reply (but bear in mind that there are no incorrect answers :) ).

The deadline for entries is 21:00 (UK time) on Sunday 18 April. Since the results, especially the Q13 bonus, could change with each entry, I’ll then close the quiz straight away and late results won’t be accepted (sorry :P ) Also I have locked in my own entry, but so as not to give later entrants an advantage in their guesses for Q13, I won’t provide a running tally of entrants until after the close. Results should follow on the Monday evening. Best of luck!

^ yeah I know :D this is my first FF quiz and there’s the odd question I probably would have dropped or changed if I’d had more time to prep, but the main thing I was trying, maybe too hard, to do was avoid landslide questions, so there were loads I came up with but rejected (including one late on because of something that should happen on Friday) once I thought there might be a runaway top answer, and I may still have let one or two of those through, but it’s early days I hope.

What I would say is, it’s not worth spending too long on any questions where you can’t think of an answer, since these are likely to be the lower scoring questions anyway, so unlike in Pointless, a blank or wild guess isn’t likely to put you out of the game.

Maybe I'm being dim but I'm a bit confused about Q13, can you elaborate on what you mean? For example if I think Q1 is going to be the top scoring answer, do I need to answer with my guess of what that top score will be? How would we guess this unless we know how many people are participating? Or have I completely misunderstood?

Yes it's what you think that top score will be. As this will also depend on how many people participate, I haven't given a running total of how many have already entered, so as not to make this easier to guess for later entrants.

Thanks for the entries so far!

Just to make it clearer, in Q13 I'm looking for the number of points for the highest scoring top answer in the earlier questions, rather than which question it comes from. Apologies if my earlier post added to the confusion, I've updated the wording of the question above and in the form.

Giving this a nudge for anyone who wants to enter this weekend - last quiz of the current series!
Entered. There's literally only one answer which I'm confident of being a top answer, the rest are very random guesses, and there are at least 3 where I really struggled to think of an answer. I have no clue at all how I'm going to do on this!
I'm most interested in the answers to Q3 & Q8.

There's gonna be so many different answers for those two!

If you haven't entered yet, you have just 4 hours left :w00t:

To keep the bonus question fair, there can be no late entries this time - make sure you get yours in by 9PM!

Entered! Some tricky questions for this game in here, should make for some very interesting results!
