I noticed #00274E were 10/1 from RontBet, I'd agree that's probably the biggest omission from the latest set of odds!

This works the opposite way too. Sometimes there will be just one or two sets of odds that have a predicted top five halfway down their odds. And it usually transpires that those posters simply didn't like it as they'll say something post-results like 'I don't get why that did so well'. Quite often if there's something I don't get the hype for high up in everyone else's odds, I will usually only put it high myself either just to follow the crowd, or if it's clearly had a lot of hype that makes it hard to ignore.

 

I try and counter this with scattershot odds.

 

My dispassionate analysis (not totally but trying my best) is that I think FSR Rontvia, Kluminican Republic, Land of DW, Varake, Skall, D'yermak'er all seem like good calls to smash. COBRAH maybe too, though I'm less sure about that. Farc and Cor Lupus could underperform. Persephonia, Arcodesia and St. Burbia to overperform. Songs like Terra Avium, Utopia, Bellamia could get a number of high points throughout the votes that give them a few moments of doing well but I don't expect wide votes enough to make an impact.

 

Mostly in agreement with Leww's latest set. If I had to pick one song to win I'd go Kluminican Republic.

I'd love to do odds myself but having listened to both semis a week ago, and now returning to the final, genuinely nothing jumps out as a winner to me :lol:

 

So I think this could be a low scoring free-for-all.

I'm low-key predicting the first (9th in total) FSR Rontvia win since my second ever contest in the wild days of 2014.

 

I reserve the right to edit this post in case I'm massively off the mark.

I think for me to win I’d have to 18 my way across the dance/indie blocs in a big way as it’s probably not got much pop crossover potential. I think we might get a pop winner this time (not mega scoring, I agree with Rob), or FARC, which should have good crossover appeal although still doesn’t feel like a runaway winner so may fall short.

well I don;t do predics on the grounds that I havent a clue what other people will like, only what I like - and while I do usually have "commercial" tastes in pop/dance, I'm also partial to more out-there stuff, and as one of the silent majority I can say I've gone for both sides of the music divide this time because I felt it was pop overdose a tad :D

 

That said, I think the winner is pop this time, and I couldn't possibly reveal which one but I always think of a bar of soap when I hear the name. But whaddo I know?! :lol:
