I really liked Will's last album and these covers actually look quite inspired so I'm intrigued to hear - especially Daniel, I Follow Rivers, Losing You + Strong <3

Full agree. Clare Maguire such be so much bigger. Most of her Spotify listeners come from France. I think her song Elizabeth Taylor was a hit in France. Looking forward to Wills version of that one.

Must say that is a much more inspired list of songs than I would have expected from a Will Young covers album!

A covers album from Will was never going to be lazy choices, his taste in music is pretty sophisticated.

Looking forward to hearing all these songs, I'm sure he'll do the originals justice and I'm really liking Daniel so far, although the video I'll not bother with.

Daniel is pleasant enough and i can def hear him doing missing.

 

 

Daniel is okay. It's nowhere near the levels of brilliance of the original but it's passable enough.

 

It's just a bit too nice. The production is nice, the vocals are nice, the end result is pleasant but it's not memorable enough.

Not sure how much I'll be going back to it, but it's not bad at all.

I'm usually not a big fan of cover albums, but Will has picked some excellent choices; I love how he went for personal favourites instead of the more obvious ones. His cover of Daniel is pretty good, not up there with the original but that was always going to be hard. Very curious to hear his version of Crying on the Bathroom Floor.
