Her music is pretty generic, she's loud, irritating, oversings, faked being a sexuality she wasn't, and generally seems to always be talking about how great she is and making herself the centre of attention when generally she seems pretty underwhelming. And is still riding on the coattails of Bang Bang not realising she was the Mya of the collab.

Firstly I don’t think her music is generic. If anything when she first appeared on the music seen I think she was quite different than other pop artists at the time.

I don’t think she faked her sexuality. Are people not allowed to experiment or grow and change as they get older?

And in what way is she riding on the coattails of Bang Bang??

Well she either faked being bisexual or is now faking not being bisexual. I mean it’s not really any of our business at the end of the day but she did word it at the time as if she’d chosen her sexuality which just isn’t how it works.

I’m just saying she was bisexual when she built a fan base in the UK and the phase was over when she moved to America. Of course, she may have just been confused, which does happen.

I’m not a fan but I do think I preferred the stuff she was doing before to the sound of this. She quite suited that understated style.

Exactly T Boy. She comes off to me as inauthentic in everything she does.

Perhaps she's changed. Clearly the mood of the site has changed than to see her as a running joke!

I'm genuinely interested why you think she's riding on the coattails of Bang Bang?

I recently watched some very old interviews from when she started and she was genuinely funny, like the Graham Norton interview...

Not sure when it all went wrong :)

I think musically, the quality took a huge dip after album 1, thats actually why she topped being popular, probably her personality didn't help but if the music had been as good as in album 1 things would have been different... album 2 seriously doesn't have one single good song on it... and album 3 has Bang Bang but that's it...

Album 2 has her very best song on it: Thunder

 Yesss! Such an amazing song.

I Want Love is really good! It definitely has a disco vibe. Hopefully it does something for her.

She is a talented artist but for me got a bit one dimensional on the screechy side.

Also I found some songs like Price tag extremely irritating and it’s a bit hard to erase that.

But credit due for her relentlessly trying and pushing.

This is on the tamer side, she only really 'screaches' during the "I Want Love" bits! (granted, through most of the song... But being isolated to the one line means that this time... That... Errrrm... Talent...? Is used effectively)

Aside from a few sublime singles (I liked enough of the Who You Are singles to buy her album), I found her voice to be a bit of a cheesegrater. I'm grateful (PUN COMPLETELY INTENDED) that she seems to have learnt how to rein it in, even if the music from the last era was the most boring/tuneless dirge I've ever heard... 🤣

I’m not sure how to feel about this. I keep cringing at her rhyming “confusion” with “breaking all our New Year’s resolutions”
I have a feeling that one day, somehow she's going to manage a successful comeback (kind of like how Craig David did)

Fingers crossed we live in this timeline

:yahoo:

In terms of the song, it's a bop, the Queen has slayed
