I thought it was really insensitive showing his wife. While the BBC had no control over the pictures, they should probably have gone back to the studio (or just ended the broadcast) sooner.

 

I was actually surprise they didn't cut back to the studio, glad to hear, he is fine.

They are due to restart from where they left off with only five minutes half-time break. Whether the later game will kick off late, I don't know.

More likely 45 minutes (the second half) seems pointless to re-start the game when its too hot to play

Guess we have to wait and see what tests the doctors come back with. Not sure he will ever play again, usually after sudden cardiac arrest it's deemed too risky.

Whether the later game will kick off late, I don't know.

Christian Ericksen video called his teammates and probably spurred them on to resume play so this puts things into better context. Im sure UEFA officials left any decisions about restarting today in Danish Football Association hands which is all you can do.

 

Cannot praise the medical staff enough who undoubtedly saved Ericksen's life. They didn't have any margin for delay. The tournament's allstars now no matter how the actual play on the field turns out.

Yeh the doctors won’t let him even if he wanted to play, least he won the league in his final season.

Just heard about this, how absolutely awful. I can’t believe that UEFA didn’t cut the feed or respect his privacy, it’s outrageous.

 

Very relieved to hear that he is doing ok, as well as can be expected, in hospital. Horrific way to end your career, ny heart breaks for him
