26th - new deadline <Buzzjackfestivalen VI> Finalen

Every voting window in BJFest was 4 days.

33 minutes in 4 days is not stringent considering in 6/7 days theres time for the 42 tracks of a standard final, some of which are inexplicably upwards of 7 minutes each in length.

If that's the case, I know it goes against The Rules, but I might propose allowing another day of voting or a reminder.

Just because it has been a while since this was run, no? So people used to the larger voting window of BJSC might have put it out of their minds that the turnaround even for the final would be just a few days.

I know and it wasn't a problem for me for 2 of them. But I think they could be a day or two longer. I'm not privy to the BJSC schedule though so fair enough if it's not logistical. And like I said, sorry for not voting on time but the low turnout could be in part due to that (as well as the fact there's no penalty as such for not submitting votes like in BJSC).

well, there are no repercussions for not voting in spin-offs so this guilt tripping won't work huns xx

also I wish there were more than 2 songs I wanted to vote here but alas

So far the voting list is:

Rd'Á

Taahino

FSR

Rollo

Botan

Sovara

Zant

Caer

Harm

Séye

Jup

Zanm

Jada

Pers

LoDW

Kathal

Terra

Nice

Skall

Aeroche (Late vote)

If I extend this to give y'all a full main contest voting window then I will accept the votes from Aeroche but I will expect a full house in return.

yeah soz for the late voting as well, moving city and trying to fit in last times to see everyone with work just made me mix up my dates (and y'all know i'm not usually one to vote late!) hopefully they can be accepted with the low voter turnout but i also understand the opening post rules!

It's fair enough if people don't have the time to vote, and it's right that there's no penalty for non-finalists not voting, as you can't ban people from another spin-off or the main contest for that.

I guess the main issue is more that if there's little interest in voting in the final then not only is the result unrepresentative, but it puts the future of this spin-off in jeopardy, I can't see much impetus for the mods to run it again with a return of under 50% of participants voting. I'm sure all the other spin-offs have much healthier turnouts.

Could just be a one-off though due to summer/people out and about due to restrictions easing/clashing with the Euros/people not realising the deadline had passed, or whatever else.

I will extend the deadline until the 26th of June at 23:59 BST.

If you have not yet voted, now is your chance to do so. It won't take you long and I've even given you an entire Saturday to do so. You're only voting for 6 from 11 remember, this isn't a particularly arduous task as each track is no more than 3mins in length and you now have 3.5 days in which to find 33 minutes to do so.

I totally forgot about this, been a busy extended birthday weekend. I have now remedied my non-voting. Not a particularly appealing set of songs by any means.
ah thank you for extending, I had today down as the deadline in my head for whatever reason, I’ll vote this afternoon to not leave it to chance again.
Honestly people just don't care unless they've got a song entered themselves, idek that the extension will draw out many more voters unfortunately but prove me wrong!

I guess when people realized that they can't vote for 'Eine Muh, eine Mäh' in the final they thought there's no point in voting at all.

I understand.

(Vote Kids, it's a great final! :cheer: )

Ppl didn't vote because they wanted to simulate this week's French regional and departmental elections' low turnout x
I will vote now there's an extension but got to be honest even with short songs and not many of them, with such tight deadlines it's still tough to give the required attention if you're even a bit busy, which now more people are given easing of lockdown restrictions. Even having a song in I'd have struggled, ultimately there was absolutely no chance I was voting by yesterday when there's no penalty for it.

Awww would surely have given a lot of points for Eine Muh, eine Mäh if they are in the final!
