It's another case of a song / snippet that was floating around on TikTok for a while before being officially released I believe (same reason that the original 'Just For Me' was also able to do so well out of the gates). PinkPantheress has been blowing up a lot recently so it completely makes sense that a relatively big rapper basically hopping on her most popular song would be a recipe for success. Might have been a top 3 / #1 contender if it was just dropped as a remix of the original rather than being marketed as a Central Cee single! (I'm assuming it probably sounds more like the original than the 'Bad Habits' remix did :lol:)
September 14, 20214 yr 5k since yesterday for Shivers is fairly low after its very impressive opening numbers. My guess is that Bad Habits would have overtaken today if it was on SCR.

September 14, 20214 yr Still confuses me a bit even knowing about the sample as that made it to #27! The TikTok sound is that rather than Central Cee's version. Perhaps he's just a bigger name than I thought in the UK? It's not a bad track but just confuses me when tracks like this go top 10 instantly and other much bigger names need to climb up the charts to get there.
September 14, 20214 yr The Central Cee version has been on TikTok for a while as well - was apparently first teased there on 22nd August From Genius: The song was previewed on Central Cee’s TikTok on August 22nd, and became a viral hit, reaching 7 million views and 1.5 million likes in a day. The song was teased further when Cench and PinkPantheress were seen pictured together at a festival. The single was later dropped as a surprise on the 10th of September 2021. I don't really have a good enough sense of TikTok to know if those numbers are particularly impressive but it's certainly something x

It happened to both Mariah and Wham! when they were #2 over the Christmas period but not aware of any others. Incidentally it’s happened that a song’s higher on ACR than it would be if ACR didn’t exist because its units are almost all pure sales (Vera Lynn last year).
