September 13, 20215 yr Ed must be selling lots of CDs for Shivers Itsnice to see physical singles doing well again Shivers is doing very poorly on streaming Just 300k on Spotify today and Doing even worst on Apple and Amazon Not doing much on Itunes either
September 13, 20215 yr A little late but I think Coldplay/BTS should have a decent shot at debuting at #1 unless the streams of 'Shivers' pick up a lot in the next couple of weeks, 'Dynamite' and 'Butter' both opened with numbers that would have challenged for #1 on a similarly uncompetitive week. Dynamite and Butter both opened on roughly 50k so My Universe should be in with a shot, but then again Bad Habits did 102k on week 3 iirc. Just depends if Shivers peaks in weeks 2 - 4 like Bad Habits did, or if it peaks in week 1 and falls from there.
September 13, 20215 yr Manics have the midweek Number 1 album with Steps 3k behind at Number 2. https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/m...s-chart__34017/ I wonder why the OCC think that Fugazi by Marillion was released in 1978. It came out in 1984.
September 13, 20215 yr Remarkable that the Manics have had only 1 #1 album - let’s hope they can double that this week :)
September 13, 20215 yr Everything Must Go deserved to be a #1 album! Although the fact that it was blocked by George Michael's Older which is also a masterpiece softens the pill somewhat.
September 13, 20215 yr 33 David Guetta, MistaJam & John Newman - If You Really Love Me (How Will I KNow) :funky:
September 13, 20215 yr So long Perfect... until sometime in the future :D (Hard to imagine there'll be at least 3 songs on '=' with longer lasting appeal)
September 14, 20215 yr Steps really have the most unfortunate timing when it comes to picking their release weeks.
September 14, 20215 yr Ya defo the case with steps, if they released 2 weeks ago they would have easily beaten kanye west to number 1.
September 14, 20215 yr Ya defo the case with steps, if they released 2 weeks ago they would have easily beaten kanye west to number 1. And been nowhere near #1 last week. It's swings and roundabouts.
September 14, 20215 yr Steps has reduced the gap to just over 1000 copies now https://twitter.com/ultimate_steps/status/1...6655687684?s=21
September 14, 20215 yr Steps coming to do a Foals, part 1 getting to #2 but part 2 getting #1 despite a lower first week? Kind of gutted if MSP are missing out on #1 again but I guess it is payback for the last time they were in a chart battle with Steps x
September 14, 20215 yr Come on Steps - even if they don’t get #1 good to see them snatching some decent sales. Also they have reduced everywhere - Amazon CD £4.99 Chalkys CD & Poster £4.99 iTunes £4.99 The £15 signed vinyl has sold out so hopefully they will add more.
