I'm surprised the Manics aren't adding more tour dates tbh that works better for a band like them than price drops

If Steps do miss out it will be solely down to vinyl - they could have sold so much more as proved by how quickly the signed splatter versions sold out.

One of Lady Gaga's weeks at #1 with 'The Fame' was by just 4 copies (beating Doves' 'Kingdom Of Rust') - quickly looked up the Music Week commentary for that week and it did say that was the closest race for #1 ever at least up to that point, I don't think it has been beaten in the years since either.

It's all a marketing con! The OCC needs to introduce some kind of limit on the number of formats that can be counted - similar to the 3 format rule for singles in the 90s.
