Been brought to my attention by r jake and it's brilliant. The 'Fantasy' (Mariah) sample is exquisite. Kinda reminds me of 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' a bit too.

I can def see this taking off BIG time with the right exposure. I don't see why it can't be just as big as 'Say So' or something.

The video is a lot of fun too!

A bop for sure!

Dr Luke produced it though... which makes me wonder if the idea of this song might have been for Doja Cat initially, but rejected? Because it certainly has a Doja Cat vibe.

Just to be picky, Big Energy samples Tom Tom Club - Genius of Love, which is what Mariah - Fantasy samples. So I'm not sure if it technically counts as being a Mariah sample... although the nod to Mariah's song is definitely there with the word "fantasy" being in Latto's lyrics.

i haven't stopped playing this since i heard it on the MTV awards

This is becoming very exciting.

Lets hope its the slay we are hoping for.

Very late to the party on this but I’m obsessed with it! Hope the remix delivers and it can get top 10 in America

Let's just say I'll stick to the non Mariah version luv

Her vocals are mixed really weirdly to me, it doesn't sound right at all.

I like that because of it I finally found out the origin of that massively overused sample but it's a pretty good song too. Surprised it hasn't done anything here as it's very TikTokable.
I do think Mariah's part sounds strangely mixed but I think it's a really fun remix otherwise, will definitely be giving it some spins

Yeah I don't get what's going on with Mariah's vocals either. I didn't even think it was her to begin with, she just sounds surprisingly sloppy as if it was a half-arsed, five minute job.

Catchy song though.

Honestly as soon as the collab was announced I knew what was gonna come from this lol

the Mariah parts don't even sound like Mariah, it's almost like Mariah with Latto mixed in kinda (more in the verses, the "sweet fantasy" parts are Latto for sure)

This plays at the end credits of the movie The Lost City with Sandra Bullock and channing Tatum.

Watched it last night.
