The hate on Jesy’s Instagram is very concerning her latest post literally is 10k comments of hate.

Obviously she’s done this to herself but at the same time I hope she is learning from this, creating some sort of apology post and learns to do better...

These things will never stick forever if she actively addresses it and changes...

Jesy - done a program on being bullied

Jesy - laughs at others being bullied

Way to cancel yourself

This is just so uncomfortable. Like I’m seeing the clips of that live on Twitter and oh my god…

From a bit of an outsiders perspective it felt like the last few years Little Mix and all around them bent over backwards to accommodate Jesy and her mental health issues. So to see her be complicit in public vilification of one of those band members who sought to protect her is tough to see.

Her solo campaign could have been such a joyful thing, her being happy and a positive force making inspirational music. Instead it's a tacky mess that's pissed on little mix legacy and divided the fan base.

This 👏🏽

TBH, I think Little Mix look way better now as a 3. It’s like a modern TLC, I hope they bless us with some good tunes and no samples or featurings.

seems like a lot more people are unfollowing jesy - anne marie has joined the list

This isn't meant with any sort of sarcasm or spite at all but I truly, truly feel sorry for Jesy. :(

Of course Leigh is the victim and Jesy has caused all of this, but when Nicki was ranting about Leigh last night there was definitely some looks from Jesy that indicated she had FINALLY realised the mistake she had made and how bad things were going to get. Nicki will abandon her as soon as the Boyz promo ends and she's already burned bridges with Little Mix and lost most of the support from LM fans. I just feel like it's going to get really uncomfortable and I worry about her mental health if her career flops and she's left feeling like she has no love or support from anyone - even if, as I said, it's because of her own choices.

My heart aches for Leigh but the only positive there is that she has recently given birth to twins, has a long term relationship, a great relationship with Perrie and Jade and of course so much to look forward to with Little Mix plus a huge outpouring of support and love from fans around the world after this.

It's just such an ugly situation and as much as Jesy's behaviour has enraged me, I truly just want her to get out of the spotlight and reflect on her choices and educate herself and apologize. It's just so awkward and sad to see someone hype up their solo career for months and to see the debut single overshadowed by drama and hatred after only four days of release.

This is perfectly written to how I actually feel. I think a large part of the reason I’ve defended Jesy to an extent in these threads is because I think she’s been ignorant, dumb and selfish, but I don’t think the intent behind it is malicious and I think she will regret so much of how she’s handling things in months to come. And that’s where me mentioning “mental health” on occasions comes into it because I don’t know how she will handle all of this once Nicki f***s off to her next project.

I can’t imagine this is nice for any of the Little Mix girls aswell, I don’t expect this would be how they wanted to see in their tenth anniversary together because it’s soured so much positive history. It’s a really ugly situation for everyone involved, exacerbated by Jesy’s original actions but then made worse by actions of outside parties who likely won’t pay any consequences for adding their harmful two pennies-worth.

I honestly just can’t wait for this to go away and for some focus to go to Adele on Friday, and in the near future, even if it will probably fall on dead ears for many who will see it as too late, I hope Jesy can apologise and look at the error of her ways with an open mind because I personally can’t buy into this idea that she’s a “horrible person”. Just misguided.

You have to ask where the guidance is from her management, team and label - everyone can see the backlash against her so where is the advice and support from her team to make things right?

^^

I’ve posted something similar in other forums…I think she should have stayed out of spotlight for a lil bit longer and work on her mental health that came with her being famous and in the group.

Regardless of her race ignorance (intentionally or not), I agree that this is going to impact and damage her mental health even further and I don’t think she is ready to handle all of it!!!

I get why people are appalled with Jesy, but my main feeling is sadness about this whole situation. Sad for the trio, sad for her... things really didn't have to be this way. I think she's well and truly burned her bridges now.

That Instagram live was ill advised to say the least. Nicki is volatile, and it makes me think that Jesy is incredibly naive to think there's an actual genuine connection between them. Her head is in the clouds...

I feel for Leigh-Anne. Yes, talking to a TikTok/influencer/whatever he is, wasn't particularly wise... but I understand the frustration and it was in private. I actually think those messages demonstrate that she did still care about Jesy, because her frustration/anger with her must come from a place of... this girl being someone she shared a friendship/working relationship with for almost a decade. She mustn't be able to recognise who this Jesy is anymore. Also Leigh-Anne strikes me as a sensitive soul with her heart in the right place, so Nicki (who clearly doesn't know Leigh-Anne at all) talking badly about her, about a situation she seems to have a 1% knowledge about, was really horrible. I hope Leigh isn't too fazed, and that it'll blow over for her (re: the Barbs trolling her).

Jesy... I feel frustrated with her. I think ignorance and a lack of intelligence (sorry to be blunt but I truly do believe she isn't an intelligent person) is her downfall. With Nicki temporarily gassing her up, and seemingly her team doing the same, Jesy isn't going to face up to her wrongdoings. It feels kind of dangerous if she has a team of "yes people" around her, and it makes me worry for the perhaps not too distant future and if she'll cope.

It was completely fair enough that she wanted to remove herself from Little Mix. The online trolling she faced over the years of the group were horrendous, it's clearly shaped her into a person who is 100% insecure about her appearance. I believe beauty standards of social media, shows like TOWIE etc, really fed into her perception of what she needs to look like, to be acceptable. A tan, big lips and huge hair has clearly become comfortable for her. It's a look reflected by countless white women in the UK. I can understand the reluctance for her to strip that back, and clearly she doesn't understand (or refuses to listen) that her appearance, combined with her appreciation of R&B/Hip-Hop and Black culture in general, is why she is accused of blackfishing. She seems to think it's purely about the tan.

I still worry about her mental health. It doesn't excuse her behaviour, mental health shouldn't be weaponised, but regardless, that's still a genuine part of her and even if this is mostly her own doing, I still hope she has genuine people in her life who will be there if she starts to not cope with all of this. I extend this same worry to Leigh-Anne, of course, I truly hope she's okay.

Honestly, what a mess. I'm sorry for the probably incoherent rambling... I just wish all of this wasn't happening.

This is spot on, Jay! Agree with all of it but didn't have the energy to find the words myself.

You put this so perfectly!

I really hope Jesy has good people around her, her instagram comments are so so disgusting after yesterday.

I also hope Leigh and the rest of the girls are okay.

Agree with everything you've said Jay. It's disappointing and saddening and I can only hope that this doesn't turn into another Caroline Flack situation.

Couldn’t have said it any better myself. It’s such a mess, I hate the fact that this is all happening. Completely agree.

Cut You Off already sounding like it sums it all up ‘How did we get here, it used to be so good, nothing lasts forever but I really thought we could’

I wrote this elsewhere and I wanted to reiterate why what Nicki has done/weaponised Jesy's feelings/issues and has gotten it so wrong:

Nicki not bothering to listen and not fully understanding (and frankly not CARING) what's going on has really f***ed this up for all of Little Mix and Jesy who have never (outside of some snide remarks and some possible leaked messages) have never outwardly come for each other until now. From the pieces of the puzzle that I DO have, here seems to be what has really happened:

To put it simply, around the time of Sweet Melody, Jesy's "Black-fishing" was catching some heat (literally all the comments on Jesy's IG were calling her up on it), it wasn't the first time over the years that it had been brought up to the point of making a lot of noise online, but what is important is that it was the first time it was being significantly brought up since the Black Lives Matter protests/movement in May 2020. A time where a lot of people felt like they had more confidence to speak up. So, Leigh Anne, an active voice during the movement, clearly took her bandmate aside and laid it out for her, hoping she'd listen. (A big part of that movement was about listening to the black people around you and educating yourself and those around you on surrounding issues in hope of us all bettering ourselves).

Jesy rejected this or was defensive to it, given tanning/looking racially ambiguous is something she uses as a mask to feel confident (which, is understandable to a point, given her struggles) but choosing to ignore this rather than to work on other ways to present herself and still feel confident clearly added to the building tensions that lead to her leaving the band.

Nicki seems to have twisted this narrative to make it seem that Leigh Anne is only now, with the release of 'Boyz' brining up the black fishing in some jealous rage to try and ruin Jesy's career, which is so, so wrong and unfair for many reasons.
