should be Elton staying at #1 then even with the closeness, LDR doesn't have enough of a streaming advantage and Duran Duran I suspect would be more front loaded.

and how are they still milking John Coltrane live albums a good 50 years after he died?! (rhetorical question there, I'm aware he's considered a legendary saxophonist)

guess Lana is missing some vinyls then :/
Ed is missing 30k physicals according to him the other week too... So kind he's letting Adele get the no.1.

would be great to see The Edge of Seventeen finally make the chart! crazy it never charted back in the day (did it never get released in the UK or just flopped?)

With 14,974 sales for The Lockdown Sessions so far, the legendary singer is at No.1 in the albums chart, where he’s the front runner in a closely packed and all-new Top 4. Duran Duran’s Future Past (13,524 sales) is at No.2, Lana Del Rey’s Blue Banisters (11,267 sales) is at No.3 and Biffy Clyro’s The Myth Of Happily Ever After (10,431 sales) is at No.4. Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres (7,642 sales) is in fifth spot. With streaming data for Sunday yet to be counted and Lana Del Rey the clear leader at DSPs with 1,107 units so far, the Top 5 could yet shift this week.

Elton John remains at No.2 in the singles chart with Dua Lipa collaboration Cold Heart (22,663 sales). The rest of the Top 4 is also unchanged, with Adele’s record-breaking comeback Easy On Me at No.1 with 37,155 sales. Ed Sheeran’s Shivers (20,194 sales) is at No.3 and Ckay’s Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah) is in fourth place on 11,196 sales. Glass Animals are at No.5 with Heat Waves (10,602 sales).

Well at least all the big album releases will at least break the 10k mark even if the overall sales will be underwhelming!

And ouch Adele will just break 100k in week two then, thought with her still doing over a million over the weekend she would easily do it!

im so sad for Lana. especially after the success of Chemtrails (better album imo)

Oh I hope Elton holds onto the #1 spot. If he does it will be his 5th decade.

What a shame he didn't manage one in the 00's the closest he got was #2 with Songs from the west coast (2001).

Lana’s last album just a few months ago had over 34k on the Monday update. I expected quite a large drop but to be selling less than a third is huge. Really hope there’s a lot of missing vinyls or something

Wow that's extremely low for Adele all things considered, she was at 100k this point last week. I expected a 2nd week drop but not by over 50%!

Albums wise who sold most yesterday (if we have that info hehe?) is it likely to be Elton who gets it?

I love Lana usually but this latest album didn’t grab me at all for some reason. Can’t quite put my finger on why but it just hasn’t grabbed me and each of her previous eras bar Honeymoon I replay all the time. I’ll still buy it though as I do love her music in general and I collect all her albums on physical CD.

Duran Duran doing better than I thought I was expecting them to be behind Elton, Lana and Biffy. I hope Elton holds on.

I am sure they will both drop out by the end of the week, but nice to see two other Elton tracks top 100 in the mids. Just shows there is some streaming presence beyond Cold Heart.

Will be interesting to see if any Lana tracks creep in by the end of the week.

Oh I hope Elton holds onto the #1 spot. If he does it will be his 5th decade.

He didn’t get a #1 album in the 80s as SWTP reached #1 in 1990
