Oh yay! Found the right time to check this thread, thanks to everyone who voted. Always a particular joy when a song you’re really attached to qualifies

Looking forward to giving you points in the final now as I couldn’t before due to different semis! :cheer:

QUALIFIER #12:

Quintessa: Platon Karataev - Aphelion

DNQ

Skall: Space Dimension Controller - The Love Quadrant

Congrats to Quintessa who add to the diversity of the final with a Hungarian indie rock group!

Now, the wooden spoon had to go somewhere... and it was Skall here, whose entry sounded very Skall, with over 7 minutes of bleeps and that spoken finish. An unlucky points total as well to rub salt in the wound!

 for Quintessa, happy we have got at least one of the indie/folk-y entries through this month. Praying for Niceland and Terra Avium to join them.

Would have been very surprised if Skall qualified unfortunately, shame they've come last again though </3 this one was a grower for me, ended up giving it 1 point so that's the first of my votes gone.

Looking forward to giving you points in the final now as I couldn’t before due to different semis! :cheer:

QUALIFIER #13:

FSR Rontvia: Sally Shapiro - Forget About You

DNQ

Land of DW: Something For Kate - Blue Bird

Thirteen points for Skall may not have been the nicest thing to announce but this number proves luckier for Rich as he is the 13th qualifier tonight! FSR Rontvia add some Scandi synth-pop to the mix.

Points for DNQs now jump up to the 20s. Land of DW take 28th in the semi final with their rock representation. Well... at least it's not last!

FSR did DNQ in 109, 119 and 129 so apparently so!

The Land of DW song wasn't terrible or anything but it is kinda hard to see who the audience for it on here really is oops (apart from Holland-Oats x), that would have been my prediction for last place here.

QUALIFIER #14:

Aeroche: Ewan McVicar - The Rhythm (feat. Trinere)

DNQ

Lotunia: Aimyon - Ikiteitandayona

Reliable hit-makers Aeroche are through with a dancefloor filler! Ewan McVicar has recently crept into the U.K. chart but didn't quite light up the BJSC final he was in - will that change this time?

Our bottom 3 of the semi is rounded off with Lotunia's Japanese entry which flicked between more quick-fire verses and a softer chorus. Perhaps this would've done better in the other semi? I guess the one light at the end of the tunnel is that this song alone got the semi 1 recap taken down from YouTube so I guess I can experiment with that again for the final *_* This is the first DNQ so far to receive a medal position as FSR Rontvia awarded them a bronze.

Yay! Indeed October isn’t very good for me usually and I was worried about the chances of gorgeous Sally after some of the predix! Hoping it finds its fans in the final <3

Some brilliant Qs so far!

Lotunia, like Skall, was a grower for me that jumped into my votes on second listen (landing on 2 points), but again sadly wasn't expecting it to have much of a chance of getting through as it is quite alike most of Iz's random anime entries that almost never qualify, shame though as this one did stand out quite a bit to me with the talk-rap verses.

Aeroche was fab ofc xx

QUALIFIER #15:

Persephonia: Godford - Say My Name

DNQ

East Rukahavian: Boehm, PRINSH & Brittney Bouchard - Ready For Love

26th • 26 points

Persephonia's foray into deep house paid off this month as they take up the next final spot!

...meanwhile a less successful dance entry turned out to be East Rukahavian's - although at least 26 points for 26th place is pretty satisfying? They received two medals so it wasn't totally lost on people.
