How ED?! On Adele second week?!

I mean I hope I’m wrong but I’m just not 100% sure Adele will hold up on streaming. I’ve got no idea though.

Think Adele holding on to a second week at least is a certainty especially with the initial underperformance of Ed's.
I'll be shocked if Adele's album doesn't stay at #1 at least until the end of the year!

Ed Sheeran.

Abba.

Adele.

Highest Opening Sales

1 Adele 580,000.

2 Ed Sheeran 340,000.

3 Abba 265,000.

After looking at the first midweeks for Ed's album, I reckon Rod or Little Mix will be the #1 on the 19th now.
Well it looks like at least 100 people got the first one right :magic:

The only week I think there is any real doubt is ABBA's 2nd week vs Ed's 3rd week tbh.

Yes that week might be Taylor Swift.

I think it's much more likely to be Rod Stewart than Taylor Swift if it is a new entry but it would be impressive if Taylor manages to keep her UK #1 streak going despite the seemingly not great timing of this release.
Not that I'm expecting them to but to completely omit LM , with there gazillion different formats , is a bit surprising

Absolutely. I found it strange they were omitted lol.

Lets hope o good promo from Westlife to beat Adele 2nd week.

I think Abba in their second week will be too strong for either.

Adele will definitely sell over 200k in week two, there's no way they can beat her.

My final bet is:

5th: 1 - Ed

12th: 1 - ABBA, 2 - Ed

19th: 1 - ABBA, 2 - Ed, 3 - Rod, 4 - LM, 5 - Taylor

26th: 1 - Adele, 2 - Ed, 3 - ABBA, 4 - Rod, 5 - LM

3rd: 1 - Adele, 2 - Westlife, 3 - Ed, 4 - ABBA, 5 - Rod

Westlife won’t come close to challenging Adele’s week 2 sales, also this era they have failed (so far) to have a hit single which helped their last album.

200k in week 2 sounds impossible but lets see, maybe approaching xmas will help her :(

Nobody is selling 200,000 in week 2 in 2021 UK. Even if Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston were to rise from death and do a duet album together, still not moving 200,000 units
