I guess artists would rather just get their albums out sooner rather than having to wait months for the vinyls to be ready.

Ed recently said in an interview that Adele's team had pretty much booked all the vinyl factories in the world in the run up to her album. So if any artists can get a vinyl currently, they're quite lucky!
