So we haven't yet lost a track which got all its points from 1 voter and was placed in that voters top 10. That will be happening today....

Oops at this including me! Ridicule is nothing to be scared of at least...

Poor 'Prince Charming' I really needed Suedehead to vote in this!

Always enjoyed ‘Stand and Deliver’ and his solo No1 more than this. Adam and the Ants is a strange one for me, huge but for quite a short time frame. Also, are they considered as a new romantic band? Separate from the others bands of the era they didn’t really use synths to create the sounds, probably a good thing in terms of uniqueness!

I Know Him So Well, its a decent song but it kept King - Love and Pride from #1 which is a bop :(

Prince Charming I would have given points to had I voted. :(

Aw at losing Chaka Khan and Adam and the Ants.

I did dress up as Adam Ant to a fancy dress 1980s themed night, pictures exist unfortunately - so that's kompromat!

Prince Charming is great, I am amazed I didn’t vote for it :o

Oh my! Especially as you are the dandy*highwayman.

I'm quite stunned that 'Goody Two Shoes' has outperformed it tbh

('Stand and Deliver' to be the highest of the three please!)

I love ‘Goody Two Shoes’ lol love the lyrics and the way it has a go at the media in it!

Oh yeah not bashing it, I like it too and especially the TOTP performance, but I expected it to be the least popular of the three Adam songs on here so colour me surprised

Also - Halloween costume goals Doctor B *.*

Oh I know, yeh that performance was class!

But your right when thinking about it you would think his Adam and the Ants songs would have done better.

NO 114- 23 POINTS

Japanese Boy Aneka (Voter: Last Dreamer)- No 1 for 1 week in August 1981

Not from Japan but Edinburgh, and not called Aneka but Mary…probably not a song you could do in the same way in 2021.

I Just Called To Say I Love You Stevie Wonder (Voter: West- 6 points, Jimwatts- 17 points)- No 1 for 6 weeks in September/October 1984

A million seller and the last song to spend 6 weeks or more at No 1 for 5 years. Also Wonder’s sole UK No 1

Lady In Red Chris De Burgh (Voter: Jackjones- 10 points, …Ready For It- 7 points, Gezza- 4 points, Last Dreamer- 2 points)- No 1 for 3 weeks in August 1986

One of Princess Di’s favourite records apparently and the first exit to get 4 voters

You'll Never Stop Me Loving You Sonia (Voter: Nina West- 4 points, Jason- 19 points)- No 1 for 2 weeks in July 1989

S/A/W helmed 18 year old Sonia Evans to the top in the hot summer of 89.

Surprised at how well Sonia did to be honest, it’s a stereotypical SAW single but it’s good and catchy so hey!

Really like the Chris de Burgh song, feels like his only hit apart from the Christmas one. Like the Stevie Wonder song but now where near his best.

I was expecting to see Sonia top 100 :(

Chris de Burgh has a Christmas song?

Lady In Red is too saccharine but I like a couple of his later singles, Missing You from 88 and Separate Tables from the early 90s

Never understood the appeal of Sonia + the quality of the SAW songs had started to drop drastically

Yep - the one about the spaceman came travelling - it’s rubbish!

I had totally forgotten about that one!

I kinda thought you were joking me there lol!

Yeh I love ‘A Spaceman Came Travelling’!
