RATM at # 1 was the worst thing in the history of UK chart.

In my head I like to imagine Last Dreamer in the land of Greggs right now with a suitcase of pork sausage rolls, a box of vegan sausage rolls and a bottle of HP sauce. It would be a great base for an epic LadBaby fan fiction.

There'll probably be an even bigger campaign than usual this year for LadBaby with the whole matching The Beatles record thing. If they do it (and I'd be gobsmacked if they didn't), I dare say this will be the last time unless they come back next year and try and beat The Beatles
Tbh there's no incentive for them to ever stop. This is just our Christmas #1 for eternity now.

Yup. They get their 5mins of fame, an Xmas no.1 and raise money for charity. Why would they stop? Let's ignore Xmas no.1s and make thr new year no.1 the big one instead!! Let's see which NYE power trance bop can get to no.1 each year. Will it be Waitin for Tonight, Believe, Out Of Your Mind Hollier Remix, La La La La La La La La I Just Can't Get You, or a modern dance bop?! Who knows!

It's weary inevitability like this that ruins the charts. And music. And Christmas. And our cultural heritage. And anything else you care to mention.

Personally i'd say it wasn't even the worst thing in the Top 10 that week

what XF song did RATM stop from #1?

Lol was probably one of the best things to happen - much needed change of guard and F you to the X factor domination of the chart. And it's a great song in its own right!

I'd say it was bu far the best sang in the entire top 40!

I can’t at people wanting a ‘proper Christmas no.1s’ like such a thing has existed this side of the millennium.

I don't even mind novelty Christmas #1s, I just want them to be more varied (if we must have them) rather than being literally the exact same joke three and now probably four years in a row  especially when it's a joke that was not funny at all in the first place lol

 So because it hasn't happened this side of the millennium people shouldn't want one?

I've wanted Mariah Carey to be the Christmas #1 for several years and I supported The Darkness when they did their attempt at it (forgotten classic that one  ), there is something much more special about a Christmas #1 that is actually a Christmas song, such a shame there isn't more of them I can think of several that deserve to be.

 Wasn't Mr Blobby an Xmas #1, nothing can be worse than that

Exactly, it's the fact that its the same joke been done again and again that's tedious and irritating.

What I’m actually saying is that artists stopped trying a long time go so what exactly can you expect? Ed and Elton were only going for it because the lack of competition would have made it easy.

Don’t the Ladbaby songs always have some sort of Christmas reference anyway? If only in the video?
