Omg what I can't believe I qualified when my Leon Vynehall "Midnight...." entry, which admittedly is kinda similar in mood although with very different instruments, did so terribly.

 

I definitely found this song far more instant / better on first* listen than I did with the Leon Vynehall track despite indeed being quite similar so although I'm not sure exactly why I am not surprised to see this one doing a lot better.

This presentation of the results was amazing!! Well done! And of course very pleased my entry qualified!

The boarding passes are wonderful, I'm loving all the creative touches that you've added to this!

 

Think most of my faves made it apart from Motörhead and Gawr Gura - which admittedly were both quite long shots I guess. Very happy to see some of my biggest faves from Semi 2 through though, in particular “Raspberry Swirl” - I only really know the big Tori hits like “Cornflake Girl” and “Winter” but I've pretty much loved everything I've heard from her and this was no exception so thanks for the discovery Dandy* and probably should delve a bit more into her discography. Always good to see something a bit daring and different through and so on that note I am very pleased that “Hvítir Sandar” made it despite the fatalistic pessimism that Bré had about it.

 

I haven't listened to Semi 1 yet but from a scan I'm hyped to hear Alex M.O.R.P.H. - he is on my iTunes a lot thanks to my mate Mark who sends me loads of proper hardcore stuff and the German DJ never disappoints. Also hype to Utopia and Lookylion with current singles I'm really enjoying and pre-emptive hype for N DNTN because y'know, N DNTN!

 

Thanks Addy for putting this together and to those who kindly sent Kessler through, was worried that the flight was overbooked and we'd have to take a later flight (BJSC141). x

I am very pleased that “Hvítir Sandar” made it despite the fatalistic pessimism that Bré had about it.

 

Oh no I thought it would qualify (and I'm still rooting for it to do better than the Kælan Mikla song I sent myself before because they deserve way better than 22nd). It's just that a couple of other people predicted it to DNQ and I wasn't having that. x

 

Even if it completely failed to appeal to anyone outside of the obvious niche audience that niche is still easily big enough for it to clear 43 points you'd think.

So close to a full house. Really surprised Zanmatony didn't qualify when I thought they were one of the more standout dance tracks!

 

East Ruk & Danaeviia were nations I'd have noted for in the other Semi that didn't make the cut.

Pleased to have qualified, wasn't sure it was the best semi for Caroline and thought the predictions of some in some out were accurate, and had no attention whatsoever, no comments even when announced here, and when I looked back at the listen through it was pretty much only the low budget video that was discussed! :lol:

 

Lost my 8 & 7 in Trifoski & East Ruk which is a shame, and my taste in rock songs couldn't be further aligned with this site!
