It's finally here folks.

 

Krystal Versace, Ella Vaday and Kitty Scott-Claus compete in the Rumix challenge and finale runway in pursuit of the crown.

I kind of did feel winner energy from Krystal in that final episode. Ella kind of didn’t stand out at all to me, performance wise, nor the crap runway, nor not knowing the words in the last lip sync.

 

Surprise surprise, I think Kitty was amazing. But Krystal really did feel like she came into all of her confidence this episode in a way that felt very “wraps up her journey nicely” so I feel surprisingly content with that result.

One word - meh

 

It was obvious though from Week 1 - as with Lawrence, Ru was just obsessed and she could Do no wrong. But at least Lawrence had a personality and talent to back up her win.

 

I just can’t with this series. A fitting winner for a shit series

It felt like Krystal was being edited as the winner all episode. They really had to grasp to get Moments in the flashbacks though didn't they?

 

The one thing I will say for Krystal is I didn't like Kitty's performance in the maxi challenge, and I didn't like Ella's makeup on the runway. Krystal was a distant third in the final lipsync though and really had just gone downhill from a strong start in the competition. Her best bits they played back were kinda embarrassing too - "she's so funny"...from a scripted acting challenge with a provided costume where she was neither the winner nor the High placement.

I was not a fan of her the first few weeks, but I do think she was the strongest this episode.

Such a shame on the choice of winner. I get that she had a good final week, but you gave the win to someone who showed quite a few gaps in her skill-set, over two queens who were never in trouble and who showed good versatility

Meh, I could see it coming with Ru practically glazing over during Kitty’s interview and calling Ella a washed-up actor in hers. Although, I would have found it hard to crown Ella myself, when she looked and lipsynced really badly, which is why I probably would have plumped for Kitty for the win, but none of them would have been a strong winner in my eyes and they don’t win owt so who gives a s***.

Utterly obsessed with the performance. I think it might be the best dance number ever? They worked so well together. Serious girl group vibes

Can’t help but be really disappointed with Krystal winning, don’t get me wrong she’s incredibly talented but Ella and Kitty both deserved it more. Ru wanted Krystal to win from the beginning though it was so obvious

A good finale! It's been a decent series, good at the beginning and end with a weak middle and questionable choices. I think Krystal as a winner will make most sense in 5 or so years time, whereas I'm not sure how much better Ella or Kitty would get? I feel like their success is on Drag Race whereas Krystal will do more outside the show?

 

Ella threw it away in the final for me! You just couldn't give her the win after that dress and lipsync, she's done so much better in previous episodes. Krystal for me was the strongest overall in this one across all elements so would've got her 3rd win. Kitty again also had a good showing so would be deserving but also just doesn't feel strong enough to be a winner? Idk it's an odd one where none of the three tick the boxes completely, versus last season where all three finalists were fantastic!

Kitty lost it during the talk when she was talking about how much her family supports her, Ru wants a sob story and doesn't go for the happy story (just look at Tayce last year!).

 

It was quite obvious from the first episode Krystal was going to win, she did a decent job, was was my least favourite of the three. Kitty SLAYED the lip sync and making a reference to Nadine in her song? That should have been enough to give her the crown.

I remember seeing someone say that track record gets you to the final and the story/journey gets you the win which I think is what happened here. Well, mostly being Ru's favourite from the start too, but I suppose you can look at her being so young, an ambassador for a new generation of drag, there's that too. Plus she is super polished and a fashion queen was yet to win Drag Race UK (Lawrence and Vivienne were nearly always great on the runway but they aren't fashion queens as such).

 

Maybe it's just easier for me when I clocked out earlier in the season, but even as not a Krystal fan, from what I've seen I can understand why she won.

It seems I'm in the minority here but I think Krystal was the correct winner and is my favourite winner of UK Drag Race so far.

 

Despite the editing trying to tell us she was flopping in the last few episodes, while her acting/comedy wasn't as confident as Kitty or Ella's, but she was usually (outside the roast) decent and sometimes great (the Bra Wars challenge). But her runways were leagues ahead of the others. And on top of that she was the best performer/lip syncer...like she ate the other two up in that final lip sync.

 

Ella had some good comedy moments throughout, but her drag was for me, hideous, and her makeup was quite bad too. Not to mention she did terribly in the final lip sync.

 

I would have been happy for Kitty to win (not just because I had money on her winning lol) because she was a very solid performer and very likable. But I do think her regurgitated memes shtick got a bit old by the end and I didn't see a huge sense of self/unique personality that a winner usually has.

That's what I heard as well, but at the same time I cannot seem to find any "prove". So maybe it was just a rumour?

Yeah true, I have searched for proof but haven't really found anything other than an allegation. I thought there were more solid receipts but maybe I was thinking of Scarlet Adams.

I think that was the usual toxic fans who always have to be mad at something, I haven't been able to find any proof or anyone much talking about it, and if there was anything you know Reddit would have been straight on that.
