I hope they get a Brits performance/medley to end their first run together.

 

(Edit - I can't at them managing to find so much footage of them as a 3 piece from 2012, they must have been on YouTube looking for as much content as possible to use)

I'm heartbroken but they deserve a break more than anyone and I am thankful for my VIP tour tickets in May. I will support them all in their solo projects and hope that it isn't too long of a break.

Knew it was going to happen. Just hope it’s not like a 10 year wait before we get something again from them as a group !

A break in Little Mix terms still means they'll release 2 more albums before Adele comes back with her next one.

Glad I got me some tickets to the Confetti / goodbye tour.

 

Part of me feels sad for Jesy now. In an ideal, perfect world, she could have stayed, enjoyed the 10 years success and taken her break.

But obvs we know there were other reasons behind her leaving.

It's going to be SO strange to be in a world where this is no 'Little Mix' :(

 

I really wish Jesy could have stuck it out, I really do. Ah well.

 

I truly believe the girls will be back together in 3-5 years and i'll still be there supporting them, whether as a three piece or four.

 

I feel like I literally grew up with Little Mix, they've been there with me through my teenage years to me now in my 20s as an adult.

 

These girls will always hold a special place in my heart.

 

Truly Little Mix forever, and supporting Leigh, Perrie, Jade and Jesy, forever. :heart:

I was waiting for them to announce it, let's not act if we didn't all see it coming. I'm happy for them, they've achieved so much and their comeback when it happens will be humungous. I'm most excited for Jade solo music.

I, oddly, don't feel sad? I feel rather proud and more celebratory. 10+ years with as consistent success as they have had is unprecedented for any artist - let alone a group (a girl group at that!).

 

What a legacy they have left. I'm so proud and glad to see that they have plans to continue releaaing at some point in the future.

I don’t feel sad either. We all knew it was coming and the statement is very positive. It’s in no way a goodbye. It seems genuine to me. Obviously, there’s a chance they might enjoy solo work too much and not want to continue but I trust the power of the trio! I hope they always remain sisters regardless the three of them are great together.

 

Excited for the comeback single! Hope it’s BIG!

I'm glad that they've made an official announcement about this, to make it clear for us all. I know a lot of fans were holding out for them to keep on going after this era.

 

Personally, since Between Us was announced, I felt like it was pretty inevitable that we were coming up to them taking a break. After 10 years together and their celebration of that, it does feel like the right time imo.

 

I can think of many artists who have been more vague or not acknowledged that a hiatus/split is happening (for instance, Spice Girls in 2001). I respect Little Mix for being direct and clear that they're taking a break!

 

A whole decade of near constant working together, giving us so much music and content. In the last year alone as a 3 piece they've done an incredible amount, even with pregnancies happening! I don't feel a sense of sadness from this announcement actually. I'm happy for them that they're going to get to explore other things in their careers, on their own terms.

I thought I was going to be sad, but I'm not. I guess there were enough hints to prepare us all well enough. Yes they deserve the break. Yes Jesy could have waited for another year, but we all now know there was a falling out, and probably more behind the scenes (cue Cut You Off).

Yes there's a chance they may never come back again. But I think k it's more likely they will. I hope they come back big, and take it slow.

I am kinda ready for it. I love the girls but they'll have done six singles in the year since Jesy left and you can see they're also ready for a breather.

 

Even if it becomes an indefinite hiatus at least they planned it all and went out properly rather than sacking it off half way through a promo campaign and then reforming 10 years later just do a GH

Not surprising. Tbh they deserve it. A couple of them have started families now and the girls have basically been working non-stop for a decade! I hope they enjoy the next few years or so off! I say off, but they'll likely all have their own solo projects or maybe features etc.

Not surprised, which is the same as many of you here. 10 years is a great achievement though and they've had some smashing songs in that decade!

 

I've got short term memory loss and can't remember when the last singles rate was but I wouldn't mind see one including all the singles from Cannonball to Between Us.
