Little Things at 43 is a surprise - don’t know if some of the CD sales were delayed for some reason or if interest is genuinely going beyond the mega fans.

It’s just Christmas playlists boosting it and the fact it’s one of the few Christmas songs not on ACR. The CD single will obviously help too.

If Gino was already a TV personality in 1980 then this song would probably have been written about him.

Forgot it was a #1 too until I looked it up online there, hope it does well in the Buzzjack 80s number 1s rating thread!

2 days of Amazon physicals are missing so that explains the album downturn

Thank goodness!

I can't imagine it must be terribly helpful for Adele's album that most people only know one song from it, given how the album chart works in this day and age.

Less interest, more Alexa deciding to play it (the song's not top 200 on Apple or Spotify).

Hopefully when added it will give sales a boost.

Michael Bublé's version of 'Let It Snow!' showing up at #51 in the midweeks - I assume it's on SCR given that it's only in the low top 200 on Spotify and not charting on Apple? He had a version of that song that was released as long ago as 2003 but that version doesn't seem to be on Spotify any more if it ever was (although there is a live version on a compilation that was released in 2010). It seems the version that is now available (as a bonus track on the new version of his Christmas album) is a newer recording, weirdly it's tagged as '10th Anniversary' on Spotify despite it being 18 years after the older version - of course it's the 10th anniversary of the original release of the Christmas album but this song wasn't on that original album and none of the other new tracks have the '10th Anniversary' tag. Curious x Coming to have 3 versions of that song all charting simultaneously (and fairly close together) if that holds

Also randomly Mariah Carey's version of 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)' appearing at #93, had to check to see if that was a new release that I had missed but it is just a track that was on her 1994 Christmas album, just never charted before even in the midweeks. Guess it might drop out again by the end of the week though like Leona/Ne-Yo and Britney did last week (incidentally neither of those have reappeared in this week's midweek update, the order of the Christmas songs seems to be fluctuating quite a bit from week to week).

Shaky's coming out on 12"! What was supposed to be a limited release for Black Friday is now a general release through his official webstore. It's the re-press of the 12" with advent calendar sleeve. All copies come with a signed postcard. Release date is this Friday.

It’s like top 60 on Amazon!

Good to know missing amazon sales, so Adele is not far from last weeks sales probably

It was definitely among the many contenders for my votes. ;)

Good old ABBAlexa. Please can she spam it a bit harder so it makes the Top 40!

Mariah’s version of the Darlene Love classic, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”, is set to chart in the UK for the first time ever this week. :cheeseblock:

Her mining Christmas for new sources of relevancy must look worse in the US where she could fart and get a #1 back in the 90s.
Well I really didn’t have Elton John getting two number-one singles in my 2021 predictions

Her US success is amazing. She was #1 in the decade-end chart for both the 90's and the 00's. I think she is a great pop star though and I wish she could still get hits. I know Ariana Grande is supposed to be the new version of her, and I sort of like her but it's not the same.
