February 4, 20223 yr Francesca come across very difficult to work with and very much like a her way or no way kind of person! The edit she got on the main show didn’t make her out to be the easiest to work with but on the Your Fired show she come across very differently so she may have been a victim of the edit. She did seem to have ability and contributed in the tasks but she was way too dismissive of others and thought of herself a bit too highly.
February 4, 20223 yr I thought the 'Time' idea was a really good one! They really came out on top with the idea of the charater and the backstory, the fact Akeem knew he needed to incorporate the theme of time into the game after hearing the name showed his bright side as well.
February 4, 20223 yr Well there goes one of my winner predictions I mean it wasn't entirely unjust as 'Artic' solidified the loss (I'm really finding it hard to believe that not a single one of them spotted that bad spelling, I gather the crew weren't allowed to say anything but still...), but they'd already lost with that concept, I cannot think of a worse concept for a video game than climate change, especially as it's a genuine issue that can't be solved that easily. It's almost like making a game about curing Covid! I'm guessing business plans came into it, Brittany has been pretty anonymous up until now so that was a surprising save. I agree the other game, apart from the awful name, was genuinely a very good concept given the time they had, the criticisms felt like nitpicks, it was a demo/tutorial level so it obviously wouldn't have been that exciting. First time in a while I think they've really done a good product.
February 5, 20223 yr Saaaaaame im now down a pick 🤬 Ah well. I think the right game won. It got a lot of criticism for „is that it“ but like what do you want for something that was thrown together in 5 hours?! I think the concept, of the two, was the one that had legs. It had a solid back story, the teaser drew you in. It was really quite a modern game and I think with a couple of mil it would be a reasonable hit game. The other team. The game might work for a phone but it’s not gonna fly on a console. It’s a bit been there done that as a style of game even if you dress it in green concern its not a novel but of gameplay. For all Britney’s comments her game was more generic and boring. It’s not even just the Artic vs Arctic but also the penguins. There wasn’t for me one single point of failure as the whole thing from start to finish was poor. Not sure I’d have sacked Fran, she has some major strengths, but the right team defo Lost
February 6, 20223 yr I really think Harpreet is going to win, her business is something that is big right now and she just seems very switched on, adapted to each task wel.and contributed good ideas for each task as well. I did think Francesca was fired a little too abruptly, especially when Akshay has continued to do poorly week on week and gets away with it.
February 6, 20223 yr I’ve got Stephanie down as a potential winner. Harpreets business is deserts isnt it which I agree is big right now but potentially I’m unsure if he’ll go with another food based winner after Carina won the last series but her business is something which is very profitable and even with changing times and economy etc people will always want a sweet treat so I can see why he could invest in another one.
February 10, 20223 yr Right firing I thought- Amy didn’t really contribute much positive and was a bit manipulative as well. Aaron could have gone too but I think she was slightly worse. Kathryn I think could really shine if she gets the right kind of task.
February 10, 20223 yr Amy should have gone weeks ago, she's been a wimp throughout the series and always liked to throw people under the bus. Constantly putting other people forward to be project manager just so that she could point the finger at them in the boardroom. This shows that laziness will always get found out in the end on this programme. I think Kathryn and Stephanie would be highly likely to make it to the interview stage at least, I can't really think of any other candidates who stand out more at the moment. Of course it will ultimately come down to who has Lord Sugar's favourite business plan.
February 11, 20223 yr As much as Amy was annoying and did deserve to go, Akshay and Aaron feel like real dead wood at this point. I hope they're both out next! I'm going to predict a final 5 of Kathryn, Harpreet, Stephanie, Akeem and Nick.
February 11, 20223 yr Amy did strike me as a bit of a snake, always trying to pass the buck and withdrawing from the project manager. She reminded me a bit of Jenny from S4 (Season of the Kosher Chicken incident x). Glad she's gone as I thought he may have given her a final chance as PM. I went on a tour of Edinburgh's Underground Vaults and actually morbid talk in dark caves can work, although this was kind of dressed up with mystery and ghosts and stuff (this was an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide mind x :kink:)
February 12, 20223 yr Still part way through but right now I never want to see Nick again in my entire f***ing life.
February 12, 20223 yr It was getting inevitable that Amy would go but Aaron and Akshay must have seriously compromising info on lord sugar because they both could and should have gone about a decade ago
February 12, 20223 yr I thought that they were a bit unfair on Akshay he did his role quite well in this task. Aaron though is terrible he doesn’t do anything other than complain, claim to be an amazing seller and then do absolutely shite (no pun with the toothbrush although it should be).
February 17, 20223 yr I felt like whichever PM lost was going to be vulnerable this time. It really had to be Sophie going. Odd that both times she lost as PM she brought back the two boys on her team. There was definitely some game playing going on there - I feel like Stephanie was deliberately not criticising too loudly to avoid being brought back.
She really had to go, I thought her decisions on who to bring back to the boardroom were terrible and bringing the guy back whose been in the boardroom loads (can't remember his name) just reeked of desperation, a really poor choice. The other team PM gives me massive Solomon vibes - reckon he makes it to the interview stage but gets torn to pieces.
February 17, 20223 yr Just how many times does Akshay get to prove himself? He hasn't progressed at all really and it's getting boring. Sophie was weak and completely misguided so wasn't a poor firing, but at least she tried! With all that being said I only really see Harpreet and maybe Stephanie as potential winners. I love Kathryn but even she I don't see as being very strong.
February 18, 20223 yr The opening credits show that Aaron, Akeem, Harpreet & Brittany will all make it to the TV shopping channel challenge episode which will be shown on March 3rd. This means it's between Akshay, Nick, Kathryn & Stephanie for who gets eliminated on the 24th February episode.
February 18, 20223 yr Interesting re the spoiler on previous post ^^^^ I wish they axed showing future tasks in the opening sequences. Based on who the next firing is between im gonna guess it’s one of the males who gets fired. Stephanie’s my winner prediction right now!
February 19, 20223 yr I wonder if they'll all be in the final? Brittany definitely feels like an outlier, she must have a decent business plan (or just luck she's always on the winning team!) Long overdue firing, both incompetent and quite nasty too, she obviously had a grudge against Akshay and it showed. He is definitely hanging on, but he did his best with this task, it was entirely the PM's lack of a clear vision that lost it for them. Akeem would've been completely toast had his team lost but I'm glad he hasn't, bless him, he's far too nice for this process.
February 19, 20223 yr Thank God she's gone. Sophie sat there with a face like a slapped arse most of the time. The failure of the task was completely her fault, with complete lack of direction. Why someone who designed her own cocktail bar would have been chosen over someone who had a genuine interest in cars was beyond me (though I think Akshay will get him PM moment with next week's corporate day-out task). I cringed at the amount of times Akeem changed his mind based on what others had said (though I appreciate it was good editing again).
