January 3, 20224 yr another bank holiday? :) We have fewer bank holidays than almost any other country. It's just that they tend to be in clusters, leaving us with long gaps without any.

January 3, 20224 yr Btw, have there been any drum & bass songs in the charts recently? I only know about 20 of the hit songs from the past few years. :lol: No there hasn't been. There is a Drum and Bass remix of Men At Work's Down Under on the Spotify chart though which could become a hit.
January 3, 20224 yr Well it was successful in the 2004-08 era! If The Cribs are able to write a diss song about you and not come off as pretentious, you know your shit - re Pigeon Detectives and other indie cookie cutter bands of the latter half of that period. Any yes I have some of their albums.

Although in UKs defence I’ve learnt only recently that in several other countries if a bank holiday happens to fall on a weekend there isn’t a day off on the next working day - ie you lose your bank holiday. So maybe it evens itself out,

January 3, 20224 yr Although in UKs defence I’ve learnt only recently that in several other countries if a bank holiday happens to fall on a weekend there isn’t a day off on the next working day - ie you lose your bank holiday. So maybe it evens itself out, Here in Turks and Caicos we get the days in lieu if they fall on a weekend. We also get the Queen's birthday off here which I find surprising isn't a bank holiday in the UK!!

According to Spotify my most-listened to song of last year was Utah Saints - Something Good '08 (High Contrast Remix), which is a wonderful drum & bass song, but obviously "ancient" lol. But I must have contributed about 5 sales to it overall. I know Afterglow by Wilkinson sort of became a hit again last year as well, but I don't really count that because it's not a new hit. Tuesday 27th December (Christmas Day Substitute Day)It's also a Bank Holiday today (January 4) in Scotland as they get both the 1st and 2nd of January as holidays and these have been moved back to the 3rd and 4th due to the 1st and 2nd falling on the weekend.
