Today marks 30 years since the release of 'Give Me Just a Little More Time'. Originally a UK #3 hit for soul group Chairmen of the Board in 1970, the song was recorded last minute for Kylie's 'Let's Get to It' album at the request of Pete Waterman. It proved a worthwhile addition as it became the biggest hit from the album, doing one better than the original when it peaked at #2 and thus becoming Kylie's 10th to reach the Top 2.

Kylie's Top of the Pops performance recent aired on BBC Four as part of the 1992 reruns - with live vocals!

Got to share this performance on the Anti Tour - Kylie forgets the words but it makes for a really cute performance as the audience sing along:

It's not exactly her best, I kind of don't really look upon it that favourably in terms of her discography but I listen to it perhaps once every 6 months and have a little moment with it.

I actually really like that TOTP performance, I saw it the other day when it was on! A pretty strong vocal I thought.

Didn't particularly like this song when it was released and still not keen.

Wasn't it on a telephone add at the time - the brrr... bit she does with a tounge-roll in the middle?

The b-side was Do You Dare, which I think I played much more!!

I really like it! It's very faithful to the original but Kylie puts all her personality into it and it's a much needed moment of fun on the album. It seems to balance the classic 80s Kylie sound with the sexier image she was moving towards.

The TOTP performance is great! I feel like this is the first time it's been shown in good quality because it's getting praise on various Kylie pages.

Yeah, it sort of gets lost in the shuffle but you can see why it became popular with the public but at the same time why it didn't shift the album. It's surprisingly faceless.

An Accurist watch advert, I believe.

Ah yes... a watch makes much more sense than a phone when the song is called Give Me Just a Little More TIME!!

My bad.

I don't mind it but I don't like it though I appreciate it went to Top 5 along with that duet to save the Let's Get to It album.

Totally this! I think I loved it more at the time for that reason, looking back now the whole campaign for LGTI was a disaster as they scrabbled around trying to save it with a massive hit.

Like all early era Kylie though I still have a lot of love for this song and all the memories.

I do like the song, its not her best thats for sure but i like it but i loved that it got kylie back into the top 2 as the singles from lets get to it were so hot and miss in the charts. I like do you dare aswell and its very different to give me just a little more time but that was a problem with lets get to it as a whole it had a really mixed sound and you can clearly see pwl were struggling with where to go with Kylie. The anti tour performance is great like everything performed at it, i absolute hate not having the anti tour on dvd or cd i absolutely loved everything from it.

It was such a nice surprise when this entered at 5 and climbed to 2 after the previous 5 singles not being quite as popular and especially Word is Out peaking at 16.

Loved the single artwork too. I bought it on 7inch and later the CD single. The vinyl is lost now sadly.

Its not a bad single cover at all, i bought the vinyl when released and like you got he cd single a good few years after, i enjoyed building up my kylie cd singles as for a long time i had the original vinyls only.

It was quite exciting buying CD singles in the early days. The free gifts, extra tracks, CD design, inserts.

Yes all that made it all so exciting but i also enjoyed researching different sites that the singles were available on and eventually getting some at the lower prices.

Oh yes, used to go into Our Price, HMV, Virgin, WhSmiths to see who was the best price….oh the glorious time I wasted ha ha
