From Music Week:

Spotify has reported a post-BRITs snapshot of streaming data for winning artists.

The big impact so far has been for Best New Artist winner and performer Little Simz.

Off the back of her medley performance, Little Simz saw an 812% spike for Introvert and a 594% spike for Woman. Overall, Simz saw a 365% spike in streams for her music.

Spotify measured the increase based on UK track streams during a one-hour period after the BRITs on February 8, compared to the same time a week earlier.

Adele, who won three awards, saw a 137% uplift in Spotify streams for I Drink Wine, which she performed at the ceremony.

Dave, who won the genre award for Hip-Hop/Grime/Rap, was joined by Fredo, Meekz, Giggs and Ghetts to close the show with a rendition of In The Fire. The track saw an uplift in streams of 217% on Spotify.

Alternative/Rock winner Sam Fender saw a 79% uplift in streams following his award win and performance of Seventeen Going Under.

'The Joker And The Queen' has also climbed 50 odd places.

Did you think the poster would mention that

The biggest increases are always for less well known artists by the general public!

Dave's 'In The Fire' is only a few spots behind 'Clash' now on Apple Music! (#50 vs. #47) - hope they can swap over soon, the performance is #2 on trending for music on YouTube

(noticed a lot of Adele and Sam Fender songs re-entering the top 200 also, plus Måneskin's 'I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE' *.* if only they actually performed)

I never expect the BRITs to have a huge effect on streaming really but I do remember 'Black' managed a decent re-entry off the back of its performance a couple of years ago so was hoping 'In The Fire' might repeat that, glad to see it having a pretty good rise on Apple! Hope it'll show up on Spotify tomorrow.

I am consigned to the reality that 'Seventeen Going Under' is just never going to go to ACR at this point

Seventeen Going Under SCR For Months

Wish he would push ‘Twenty to One’ great track!

Each to their own but that's one of the couple of relative low points on an otherwise fantastic album imo (along with 'System').

Most of my faves from the album are not commercial sounding at all, I'd love a universe in which something like 'Both Sides Of A Smile' or 'Heart Attack' could be a big hit. I guess 'In The Fire' isn't miles off and that got to be a top 10 hit at least.

I love it, also the song about the Windrush scandal would be my 10/10 moment!
How Adele is seeing any sort of uplift after that snooze of a performance for a snooze of a song.

Taste... some people has some.

Wouldn't be so sure. A big push at once means even with decent following week, it'll still be a decline.

Sam Fender is up to #2 on Spotify today!!

1 Bruno 336K

2 Sam Fender 306K

7 Lost Frequencies

23 Dave - Clash

37 I Drink Wine

40 The Motto

48 Liam Gallagher

49 NEW Dave - In the fire

135 NEW Lillte Simz - Woman

can't find The joker in the t200, surprised it didn't chart, some old Dave, Sam Fender and Adele tracks also climbing/re-entering, also Måneskin who seem to have an effect even if they didn't perform or win, just from being there

Heat Waves and Seventeen Going Under going Spotify top 3 for the first time - on successive days! :cheer:

I Drink Wine was #91 yesterday, so that's a big climb!

Easy On Me jumps 12-3, Oh My God climbs 29-18

Yes Sam! If he can keep stable with them numbers for the next week or so hopefully he can get a new peak on next weeks chart :yahoo:

A couple of Sam's other songs get a boost: Spit Of You 183-71, Hypersonic Missiles 141-76. Among the many Adele songs re-entering or climbing is Can I Get It at #199; likewise with Dave, Screwface Capital is one of his re-entries at #164.

Strange there's no TJATQ (or not if, like me, you don't particularly rate the song) - it re-entered Amazon's top 100 at #73 earlier.

Surely an error for TJATQ, thinking about how much of a boost all the other songs that were performed have got, surely it’s got to be in the top 200.
