Probably my favourite Erasure song falling out there. But I did sing (the Wheatus version of) A Little Respect at a school gig once so have got a lot of affection for that too!
I like all of those that have fallen out on the last page... Always was a huge favourite of mine as Erasure were my childhood group - also that Nelly Furtado track is my favourite of hers
Step Back In Time! Always! Northern Star! Turn Off The Lights! All of them absolute tunes and out way too soon :(

I’ve lost a couple big pointers there. Sad to see northern star and Turn off the lights go.

But haven’t lost any of my top 5… yet….

Lost a couple more of my lower pointers (Wham! and ABC) but otherwise mostly a lot of songs I'm not super familiar with dropping out. 'Break My Stride' is pretty good too though, wasn't far off my points.

This is the second song today by an American group with no other top 40 hits. The single spent 13 weeks in the top 10 and a total of 72 weeks in the top 100.

34. Belinda Carlisle - Circle In The Sand 224pts

Writers - Rick Nowels, Ellen Shipley

Top points - mikerobe1984 23, Mango 22, AH Gold 22

This was the third top 10 single from Belinda's second album, 'Heaven On Earth'. She still has another song to come in the second semi-final.

Oh that's a shame, I didn't really expect Good Enough or Break My Stride to get through, but I did think Circle In The Sand had a decent chance.
Aww no my maximum pointer out :( poor Hellogoodbye. Also shame to see 'Turn Off The Lights' and 'Northern Star' out too. The former is up there with Nelly's best imo and the latter is my fave Mel C track followed by NBTSA. 'Out of Reach' also a classic too.

Edited by Roba.

Circle in the Sand is incredible, too bad it didn't make it :/ big loss here

the Gabrielle single was good too

Hellogoodbye   I actually wasn't a fan when it first came out but I grew to appreciate it a lot over the years, the heavy vocoder suits the song well.

No at my 23 and 24 pointers dropping out the same day :(

Hellogoodbye and Walk the Moon should have gone to the final round.

'Circle In The Sand' I'm pretty sure I'm Belinda Carlisle's biggest stan on Buzzjack and this song is one of the first that got me into her so it will always have a special place in my heart. I'm just happy to see it pick up as many points as it did, kinda surprised it got this much love on Buzzjack. Looking forward to 'Leave A Light On' in the second semi-final which might actually be my favourite BC song - doubt it will get as many points though!

Love that Hellogoodbye song too and 'Shut Up And Dance' is pretty decent.
