It did amazing to get thus far but we say goodbye to Five. Let’s Dance hit no.1 for two weeks in August 2001 blocking Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Famously the music video featured a cardboard cut out of Sean and they claimed ‘symmetry’ as a reason only four members appeared. Sean had of course quit the group and they split a month later. Several reunions have cropped up but they’ve never got back to Five.

Final time-now vote for your FAVOURITE.

Both would be good winners imo but Nelly edges it. Wasn't a fan of either of the first two singles from that era but SIR (and AGTCTAE) are great. SIR being in her top 3 songs for me.

Don't really get the fuss with Irreplaceable (and have indeed been voting for it until I realised it was futile), pretty Beyonce by the numbers.

I admittedly didn't use to get Say It Right either, but it's clicked with me a lot more over the years.

I prefer other songs by both artists but both decent songs

Have gone for Beyoncé

I do like Irreplaceable and I remember it was such a pleasant surprise when she came out with such a lovely song after Check On It and Deja Vu which weren’t great.

However Say It Right has to be the winner - what a fabulous set of singles that was from Nelly and of course this was the first ever Top 10 hit with no physical release (with a CD release it would have been even higher than year end #29).
