It's really starting to feel like the album has been scrapped. No sign of an announcement, most of the album leaking, the singles not setting the charts alight and Jade already back in the studio working on new music are all signs that her and the label are moving on.

This album is starting to be like Perries. Constantly ‘teasing’ during interviews but then nothing circulates. I saw the other day Jade said in an interview that her album will have different vinyl sleeves… WHEN?!

Jade was giving lot of information and updating via her discord. She said the mastering was finished, she was sorting the vinyl variants and that it would come soon after FUFN. It seemed like everything was falling into place (Confirmed in an interview the album would be announced either this week or next - That date passed) and everything was moving fast to get an announcement out there. Something has definitely changed in the last 2/3 weeks she deliberately ignores comments relating to the album, hasn't said anything else on the album and I'm assuming FUFN not doing well (Spotify not supporting etc..) has placed it's release in jeopardy.

Who knows what's going on either it's scrapped or there's a delay to tie in with her rumoured mini tour / gigs.

Her label completely fumbling this project is insane to me when they seemed to understand her place and how to differentiate her from other pop artists. She's someone who can genuinely succeed without being a consistent hitmaker and exist as a critic's darling and touring act.

But you need an album out for that.

RCA are the absolute PITS and they were terrible with the handling of 'Confetti' too (and 'LM5' - but at least they had an excuse of being given that campaign during album release week)... they didn't capitalise when they needed to (i.e. price reductions) when Kylie was doing all of that in their battle etc..

They also fumbled Tinashe and her releases too when '2 On' was looking to be a big hit...

I know y'all have lost hope somewhat (and I get it) but I really think the album IS still coming relatively soon and I think a tour is right around the corner/later this year. But we'll seeeee...

RCA are a joke at this point. Everyone’s crying out for the album and even if streaming support wasn’t strong Jade is a big enough name to sell a good number of records and get a high debut.

There’s also so many chances of something else catching on…

She’s got festival slots to back the album so she can get trickle streams from that and every song she’s put out has decent enough figures for a UK artist.

They need to push on with the album, get it out there! If pre-orders aren’t as strong then do an album tour with local record stores or presale codes when you order an album for a tour….

As a fan it’s increasingly annoying I’d understand if FUFN did absolutely nothing but it’s still top 100 after 5 weeks so clearly there’s some demand.

Yeah there’s no excuse at this point not to have the album out. The album is the best promo these days. If the material is strong (which it likely is), the quality will speak for itself. Even if it’s not a huge seller, a critical success would set her up for trickle streams and a potentially bigger second era.

Single 4 better have everything thrown at it with a smooth rollout. 💅🏼

Edit: I think her team needs to read the room and release something not so straight forward (FUFN/Fantasy) for single 4.

Yeah I agree I know it's all about food but there wasn't really any noteworthy / interesting content.

I might be reading into things but the before Glasto didn't really seem very confident (Ermm well Hopefully I've got a 45 minute set)

She's just an incredible human and always comes across so well. I'm ready to buy all formats so get that album out JADE!!

I don't think it's been scrapped. They just keep delaying it until the festival season for whatever reason I (or we) don't understand.

The 5th week has passed, what is going on?

It's hard to be positive when everything is pointing to this being delayed or reworked / scrapped.

Weeks ago Jade said that she had finalised vinyls, tracklists and the album cover...

Literally no reason why an announcement is being held back because a slightly longer pre-order time wouldn't hurt given it's her first release.

If it was only "a few weeks ago" that Jade finalised vinyls, doesn't it take months to press vinyls?

And if that's the case, wouldn't it be logical that the release wouldn't be yet anyway?

Yeah but you can still announce preorders give you a bit more of an indication of how many would need to be pressed

I don't think it's coming anytime soon unfortunately, I've tried to stay hopeful but the updates about the album stopped weeks ago, every comment relating to the album is just ignored.

Someone on ATRL said this could be released before her first festival with the vinyls being shipped at a later date, what a mess.
