March 27, 20224 yr Polite reminder that not everyone checks off each song according to how many climbers, fallers, non-movers etc are announced at the start, so revealing the #1 before Vick & Katie do is still a spoiler!
March 27, 20224 yr It could be a clash of the UK rap titans on the Official Singles Chart this week as Aitch sits at Number 1 on the Official Chart: First Look with Baby ft. Ashanti. The Manchester rapper is taking on reigning Number 1, Starlight by Dave – and as things stand the songs are neck-and-neck after 48 hours with just a small handful of chart sales separating the two tracks. If Aitch can hold on to his current position it will mark his first ever UK Number 1, and Ashanti’s second. Meanwhile, Jax Jones could claim a new peak with Where Did You Go? ft. MNEK, up one place to Number 6 on today’s First Look. Tiesto & Ava Max are eyeing up the Top 10 with The Motto, up three spots to Number 10 after 48 hours. If they keep this momentum The Motto will mark Tiesto’s 5th Top 10 hit in the UK and Ava Max’s second, following her breakout hit Sweet But Psycho which spent four weeks at Number 1 in January 2019. Further down, Joel Corry, David Guetta and Bryson Tiller could rocket into the Top 20 with What Would You Do?, currently up 16 places to Number 15. Also tracking to enter the Top 20 for the first time is Run by Becky Hill & Galantis, up nine places to 16, and Tate McRae’s She’s All I Wanna Be, up four to Number 17. The Official Chart: First Look offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports. The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.
March 27, 20224 yr Honestly would prefer aitch at #1 as its the better of the two and starlight is getting boring now! also would be cool for aitch to have a #1 and another one for ashanti would be amazing!
March 27, 20224 yr The Math bit at the start is a bit of a spoiler imo, and I thought that was stopped ages ago for that reason. It does sort of gives the game away as the chart is revealed towards the end.
March 27, 20224 yr Honestly would prefer aitch at #1 as its the better of the two and starlight is getting boring now! also would be cool for aitch to have a #1 and another one for ashanti would be amazing! Foolish and Only U deserved!
March 27, 20224 yr I didn't think Aitch would quite be contending for #1 this week but did look like he was on track to get there within the next few - not heard 'Baby' yet but can't begrudge Aitch getting a first #1 after plenty of previous top 10 hits and of course 'Starlight' has had its time at the top already anyway. Ashanti coming to have an 18 year gap (well, 17 and a bit) between her first two #1 hits if it does hold on which has to be among the longest!
March 27, 20224 yr Yes the Maths bit giving it away a bit, don't think that is needed before the start of the chart.
March 27, 20224 yr Happy for there to be a new #1 but I’m really struggling to get into this “Baby” song. Maybe I’m just too used to the original.
March 27, 20224 yr 3 Fireboy DML & Ed Sheeran - Peru When is it going to ACR ? Damn I'm bored to see it in the top 3 again & again.
