Nobody buys cassettes anymore, they're basically useless these days. Only hippies, collectors and people doing it for novelty would buy them. They were good at the time because you could play them in the car or tape from the radio onto blank ones (and probably they were cheap but I don't know). Vinyls at least have some vague use these days if DJs want to show off that they can mix on vinyls and they have a sound quality that is difficult to replicate digitally even these days.

^You need a reality check if you think people are not buying vinyl and has a vague use

even Charli XCX sold 5K vinyls

People also buy cassette for collecting or as part of bundles, Charli sold 1K and the other week Central See sold like 6.5K cassettes

Everyone’s missing the point people don’t actively go and buy a cassette usually they are bundled with a CD and signed art card forcing people who want something signed to purchase 2 copies.

No one really buys Cd’s now either but they do mostly because of the endless signed copies being pumped out (Taylor) or obviously the older market Bublé has.

I disagree I think if he had more variants he would of sold way more (Cassettes aren’t generally used mainly fans who buy anything which I’m sure Bubles fanbase would as part of a bundle etc)

Sorry if it wasn't clear but I meant there are niche reasons people would want to buy vinyls. The sound quality from a vinyl is unparalleled by even the common digital formats today. .wav is maybe one of the best common ones but even that can't produce sound as accurately as a vinyl. So for listening to music at home people may legitimately prefer a vinyl. And DJs mostly use CDJs but with digital files so they can mimic mixing with vinyls how they did in the past, but mixing properly with real vinyls takes a huge amount of skill so some will genuinely want vinyls to increase their credibility. So that's two reasons people will want vinyls today for good reasons.

Cassettes are purely a novelty or a collectible, I don't think a single person buys them for actual musical reasons. I know vinyls have a collectible/novelty aspect to them too but there are actual reasons to still buy them. I can't think of one reason someone would buy a cassette because all the reasons they were a good format at one point are defunct today.

I also suspect the lack of supermarket support and the lack of big promo spots has hurt Buble more than the lack of alternative versions of the album. I am sure there some die hard fans who would go for them but he is no Kylie on that front. Can’t say I am a fan of those album bundle tactics either, but each to their own.

It’s a shame the numbers are not that good, actually think this has some of his best original material in a good while.

That’s the thing though Buble had great promo in the UK - he appeared on the biggest weekend TV show.

MGK’s team are being really cheeky though.

They don’t actually have any signed art cards or posters in stock.

I pre-ordered in Feb and I’m still waiting for the signed art card. Any recent order is also split with the signed print to follow!

Also, one ordered only had a cd ship and the white cassette was out of stock so they issued a deluxe cd instead!

Clearly just trying to process any order for the sales to count...

Really irritates me because it happens all the time now and you would of thought they’d take more care especially when sales for physicals are so low!

This!

My Demi Levato signed art card turned up the other week - 11 months after the album was released!

Shocked at MB’s sales...

I thought MGK would be closing with all the discounts / bundles etc

Looks like he’s managed it that’s decent sales daily for him so his Promo has clearly worked.

Can fireboy dml feat Ed Sheeran hurry up go acr take lost frequencies and belters only and luude With you

Unlikely as they are all up compared to last week (not by much but then it doesn't need to be much - can't say about Luude but definitely the other 3 are)....

There was missing physical data from Amazon on Monday’s update from their sales on Friday so guessing that’s where Buble has got a big boost from
