Sugababes can’t catch a break in these things right now. I see Covid is still rampant on Buzzjack. The only explanation for this classic falling out.

Sugababes' is fab. Coldplay's is total classic. Everybody knows those records. Castles In The Sky is barely remembered at all. I mean I was listening to it in clubs at the time and I can barely remember it now at all (and I never charted it, rare for a dance track) :P

Pink is still there because she's Pink and everyone must be confusing it with one of her great ones of that time like Get The Party Started. :teresa:

I’ve been voting to eliminate P!nk for ages it seems, what’s so special about that song when she has so much better.

Really struggling to decide which of these opinions on Who Knew is more stupid.

Probably prefer upbeat Pink I'd say. 'Who Knew' is stunning as far as Pink ballads goes.

As if I've just seen 'Who Knew' be compared unfavourably to 'Get The Party Started' of all things :drama:

I'd also say 'Castles in the Sky' is hugely well-remembered and well-known.

Hah! As if holding an opinion on music is either right or wrong

I'm very grateful the contest is being run, it's great fun but the thing about elimination contests is 100 people might regard a record as a total classic and 100 people might be sick to death of hearing it, so it gets eliminated. 50 people might love something and not annoy anyone because it never gets airplay or whatever so it sails through (and for the record Who Knew made my personal chart top 20, so of course I like it and I was being mischievous. I had already said I liked it in previous posts, and for the record I love Gaga too. My tongue is always in my cheek when I comment about records, if I use an emoji I'm not being serious. I was taking the piss because hey Sugababes classic just got voted out and Coldplay classic going). I genuinely haven't heard it in over a decade. Same with Ian Van Dahl. They just don't crop up on radio, TV, movies, quizzes to the same degree that Coldplay and Sugababes do. That just reflects that a lot people love those tracks as much as I do, and less people love the Pink and Ian Van Dahl tracks. We all love loads of not-as-popular tracks! That doesn't stop anyone loving them less, nor does it mean anyone is obligated to love anything either. I like Pink's track less than I love all the other tracks, bar Ian Van Dahl, it means nothing to anyone except me, but it's fun comparing opinions :)

Thanks for the essay but my comment was also tongue in cheek and my opinion on your opinion.

I’m not quite sure what to make of your implication that popular track don’t win these competitions.

As for the popularly of Who Knew, it’s total sales have grown massively since its year of release, even before streaming, so its likely more popular than you think.

Oh you're welcome. Not using emojis kind of makes it sound like you meant it when you said my tongue in cheek remark was stupid. When I mean something I don't use emojis. Apologies for not being a mind reader

never said popular songs dont win elimination competitions. However, there is a tendency for the tracks that people least dislike win them. That's how it is structured. Otherwise just have a vote for everyone's fave track from the finalists and see what happens. That'll force everyone to vote for their fave rather than the one they like least and it'll be a different result.

I'm not disputing it's popularity (the Pink track), I'm saying it's not as widely known as some others. BTW I love Pink, have from day one.
