Narrowly missing our top 3 is Kelis. Trick Me was her second no.2 hit of 2004, unable to dislodge the awful Frankie in June of that year. I remember hearing it and thinking ‘this is no Mikshake’ but it was such a grower I still consider it vastly superior. Loved seeing the video all over the music channels.
