I'm sorry but I can't be anything but blown away by the sales. She is a force.

Who knows what else is to come, but it's exciting.

Yep it’s easy to want more sales and not appreciate how hard it is to sell these numbers, no matter the variants…loads of artists do this now and most don’t come anywhere near these numbers except big current artists or bands like the Arctic Monkeys.

Thank you for sharing Cremey…though it irks that the gig wasn’t pushed more towards hardcore fans (not saying that’s not you btw).

Not sure what the purpose of the gig is really….back in 2000 I won tickets to Madonna’s Brixton gig by answering loads of true fan questions via a Radio 1 competition. Of course it’s easier to cheat these days as the internet is far more advanced, but they could have done something like that and built the hype far more. Madonna’s gig was massively reported and really helped to promote her album. Why Kylie just sings 4 songs of Tension baffles me. Though I guess if the attendees all go away and stream/ share there’s a bit of an uplift in the future to her catalogue.

I’m not sure what the purpose of it was either really! I guess just making the most of her being here after the radio 2 show, and to rehearse ahead of the Vegas residency?

Strange that it was so under-promoted though, I was totally sure it was even legit until the day, I’d hardly seen anyone talking about it online and even the venue itself only posted about it on the day :’)

Nice to see Tension up to 13 and Padam Padam up to 17 on Itunes. Both should get coverage on G Norton today and tomorrow and at 59p could have a good start to next week
Mailout sent by Kylie team to get those extra download album from her webiste and maybe bundle it with a cassette or signed print.

On my way to the BBC television centre for Graham Norton tonight

So excited to see Kylie in person!!

Full final mids data courtesy of Sayhey Facebook, ok we hoped for EVEN more due to the Padamic but 18306 vinyl is impressive, don’t care what anyone says;

1 (NEW) Tension

Sales: 49,735

Yesterday: 2,800 (no1)

CD: 18,905

Digital: 4,695

Streams: 3,062 (No10)

LP: 18,306

The rest will be tapes.... (about 4,767)

One More Time, Green Light and Tension are my 3 this morning

Ps. Isn't it depressing in all the interviews it's still Neighbours, Doctor Who etc. Let's talk about Tension, the songs

The Neighbours one is baffling me - esp about "can you imagine what Charlene would've gotten up to on Tiktok". Same q was asked even on the Aussie promo from 2-3 days back. Leads me to believe that her PR team sets a set of questions per promo campaign so she can go into auto mode and spit out the responses without thinking. This promo campaign has been

1. tell us what rPadam really means

2. Tiktok

3. Neighbours and Charlene

4. "what would you tell the Kylie from 35 yrs ago?"

5. What can we expect from Vegas

6. Is it true that you do your own recording at hotels?

On one hand, I'm glad they got rid of the other cliched questions, esp around her love for the gay community. But it's sad that for such a varied career of so many sounds and re-inventions, Kylie's PR team has them ask only this set of questions.

Thank you. So in the last final day of counting, I presume she can just about equal Disco's sales? Which again is still very impressive for 2023.

Disco’s full week breakdown for comparison;

54,905 total

51,865 sales of which 45,497 physical.

CD: 27,498

Vinyl: 13,510

Downloads: 6,368

Cassettes: 4,503

Streaming: 3,040

Lots of Disco CDs where discounted. i am sure there was a deal to get Disco for £5 with any other release at one point in HMV?
The slightly annoying thing about the Disco breakdown is that the physical sales adds up to 45,511, which is 14 more copies than the 45,497 physicals it actually sold in that week. That's because it includes 14 copies that were sold before the album's official release. And we don't know how those 14 copies are distributed amongst CDs, Vinyl and Cassette!
The crowd was oddly dead during Padam Padam

I don't think it translates well live - neither the choreography nor the vocals.

I 100% disagree, I could not disagree more

The song popped off at her radio 2 concert

I think the issue with the 02 concert, as many people have pointed out already, is that it wasnt all Kylie fans that won tickets.

Just Carol Honey ❤️

It doesn't really matter. It was a hit that managed to reach the wide public. Everyone is supposed to bop to it. You don't need to be a fan in order to do that.

Looks like she has already beat Discos streaming with 2 days to go (Weds streams and Thurs est. Streams)

Looks like digital and CDs were the falling point, which was probably last time fueled by the chart battle and the discounts.

But amazing sales, lets see how close to disco she can get.

Also, lots of promo to come and I feel Tension will have more trickle sales later down the line than Disco. Tension will be her biggest seller for a studio album with BMG. Plus GN promo Friday.

I am really happy with how all this is turning out.

I think it came across live really well on the American Idol, Capital Summertime and Radio 2 in the park performances.

They're the only 3 I've seen in full so far though.

I don't think it translates well live - neither the choreography nor the vocals.

I feel the same about Tension like when the majority of the chorus is a robotic Kylie voice it’s kind of hard to recreate live
