I would love for Sam to win but i would still be happy with most of the noms (Except Yard Act & Bernard & Jessie). I think Simz or Self Esteem with pick up the award tonight.

Joy Crookes, Little Simz or Sam Fender for me, been my fav albums of the last 12 months!
Got the 6Music coverage on in the background! I like quite a few of the records here but I think I’m rooting for Self Esteem. I was pretty late to the album but when I got there it was a special listen that I connected to quite a bit. Plus she’s a hoot in general so I’d love to see her reaction :kink:

Huge congrats to Little Simz! :cheer:

'Introvert' was one of my favourite songs of last year and part of a strong album.

Congrats Simbi  no surprise this year as she was the favourite but she was the one I wanted to win anyway so not complaining!

Yay! So happy that Simz won - I've grown to love and appreciate the album so much more over this past year.. I watched the whole thing this evening on BBC Four and was rooting for her so it was great to see her win live. It was a shame that Self Esteem missed out with what would have in any other year easily have been a very worthy winner, that was also a great album with some fantastic singles..

btw Little Simz is probably winning this, yet Ladbrokes offered me 7/1 for some reason? guess I'm getting that bag then

lol, dummies

Excellent winner *.* I was quite late to that album (as I am with every critically acclaimed album x), but it's a great , personal piece of work with some amazing standout moments like Introvert and Woman.
Good winner! Self Esteem was my favourite album of 2021 so I’d have loved to see her win but Little Simz was probably my second fave

Catching up on performances while failing to sleep and I really enjoyed the Nova Twins one *.* I’ve heard some of their music but ‘Antagonist’ passed me by and it’s grabbed me here

‘I Do This All The Time’ is always a moment

Was at the show last night, I wasn’t familiar with everyone performing - some of them were  for me.

Would have loved to see Sam win but I think Mercury’s should aware albums that haven’t been big commercial successes and help new artists break through TBF, it was almost a given Little Simz would win.

Absolutely LOVED the Nova Twins - bought their vinyl today off the back of their performance.

*.* I'll give the full album a go at some point too. Their energy was fantastic!

Little Simz' album was one of the highest charting ones on the list as well! And Dave won it a few years back with a pretty big #1 album, I don't think the level of success really plays much into the decision making.

(also she's not really a new artist, this is her 4th album - not that that stopped her winning Best New Act at the BRITs lol)
